Jumping jump number 11

Eliziran groaned, she knew that coming to such a big event would be a mistake for their first show. Her palomino mare pranced restlessly at the end of her lead as horse after horse passed the pair.

"ELIZIRAN!" a familiar voice called from behind. The redhead reluctantly turned around to see Erica walking towards her, causing a small scene. No, not small. Nothing with Eliziran was ever allowed to be small, or short or anything of the sort. "I have your polo here! Hurry up! Your class is about to start and you aren't dressed! By the way I had to guess your size so I ordered either a small or extra small, which one do you want?" the tall girl continued. Eliziran raised her eyebrows to glare at the girl who also happened to be her boss.

"I wear a medium... but I guess I can squeeze into a small" she responded with a little more spice than she intended. She couldn't help it, Eliziran couldn't understand why people thought she was short. She was perfectly average height!

"Shoot! Sorry, I'll be sure to order a medium next time" Erica said awkwardly while handing her the larger of the two shirts. Eliziran sighed and putting on the blue polo, mentally cursing as it hung loosely on her body. "Anyways, hows Bitty doing? She seems a little unsettled."

"I think she'll be fine, I mean I guess we had to debut sometime" Eliziran said giving the mare a pat.

"Yup! Besides she's such a talented pony, these jumps shouldn't give her trouble" Erica said, reaching out her hand to also offer pets. At the word pony the mare pinned her ears, turning her head to nip the brown haired girl. "Yikes! Sorry horse!" Erica corrected hastily. "Well good luck! Flora should be by soon to help tack up, I'm going to go help Arisa with Laddie. See you at the ring!"

Eliziran watched Erica head back to the trailer where the big buckskin stallion stood calmly and unfazed. She turned to her spicy mare

"Let show them that you are just as big as the other horses Bitty!"

Eliziran and Bitty trotted confidently into the sand ring. The shark themed jumps were impressive, if not intimidating. The mare shook her head as Eliziran asked her to move into a canter. The mare felt like a coiled spring as they headed to the first jump, a large shipwreck jump.

One, two, three UP! Eliziran tracked mentally as the pair sprung into the air, over jumping it by far. Bitty snorted, clearly having something to prove. Sitting up tall the red headed rider collected the mare as they navigated their way through the course. Jumps continued to pass similarly, the mare soaring way too high and Eliziran struggling to keep her seat. Jump number 10 headed closer, an intimidating sculpture of a shark and ship came closer and closer as the pair raced towards it. For an added bit of humour the jaws theme played in her head as Eliziran counted her strides towards the jump.

Duh na, duh na, duh na, duh- WOAH! The palomino mare launched into the air, unseating her rider, leaving her glasses askew and off balance. Bitty struggled, as she tried to catch her rider. Eliziran cursed as she somehow managed to pull herself back into position, not without consequences. Jump number 11, a wide water jump neared closer with no time for Eliziran to balance the strung out mare. With half her vision she sat up as the mare made an incredible effort over the jump, Eliziran slipping her reins as she trusted the mare to fix their collective mistake. The pair landed safely and balanced on the other side but a quick pat was all they had time for. After all the course wasn't done yet and they still had something yet to prove.

So a bit about Eliziran, she is based off my gnome dnd character who refuses to believe she is short. Its such an interesting challenge to try to merge her DND characteristics into this modern, equestrian version. Overall I think this turned out quite well! I think this will be my last entry for this show (I am planning another extra image though!)
