The White December Endurance Prep

Horse Entered: SE Vilya
Rider: Erica Ferguson age 27
Class Entered: Endurance

Story:

This was a test. Erica unloaded the obertaurer mare off of the trailer. Thankfully they hadn't needed to go far to get to this event, making it perfect for the horse's first ever show. Erica knew the mare had it in her genes to be a great endurance horse but training was a whole different matter.
"Easy sweetheart." Erica said while giving Vilya a pat. The mare raised her head, looking around at the other horses that surrounded her. Vilya really didn't bat an eye. Despite the pinned ears the mare followed Erica willingly, a real testament to the fact Erica had known the horse since she was a foal.

Soon enough Erica and Vilya had head out on the track, the terrain really not much different from the conditions at home that they train in. Erica kept the mare reigned in for the majority of the trail, much to Vilya's annoyance. The mare wanted to run. Vilya tossed her head, pinning her ears.
"I know honey, but we just started. Plus its a little narrow here. I'd rather not be taken out by a tree" Erica said, patting the mare on the withers. Vilya let out a small grunt, ears still pinned but the head tossing stopped.

Within moments the pair rounded a corner, opening up to a much larger, flatter area of trail.
"Okay Vilya, wanna run? Lets run"

So a cute little show entry in prep for The White December :3 Fun fact, I actually was taken out by a tree once while on the trails with my horse. Not fun!
