Edit: Holy shitkabobs on a dinner table! I can't believe the support and love I've been recieving for this comic! I wasn't expecting it and it's had me on a big fluffy cloud for a couple of days now! Thank you all so much!

I have spent too much time on this...
This was a result of a need to get the Mass Effect ending from my system. Funny thing is it took so long to make, I was pretty much over it half-way through XD Even funnier is I just cried a little right now
One of the jillion things that bothered me about this ending was that the characters most dear to me didn't even seem to be on Lara Shepard's mind. As explosions were going off, images of Joker, Anderson and... Liara? seem to flash before her eyes. I was kind of outraged. I absolutely love Joker and Anderson, but... Liara? She's great and all, but... No chance of Garrus's face to pop in her mind instead? They ARE in a relationship after all! HE VENTURED INTO THE IDEA OF HAVING KIDS, FOR F**K'S SAKE!
It's funny that everything else about that ending would pretty much make sense if we have in mind the popular Indoctrination Theory (which I'm all on board with), but this... this, haha, really bothered me
Somehow it's like Liara's friendship is forced down my throat a lot of times. No ofense to Liara fans, she's actually a great character, just not one I'm specially fond of. And I really just wanted to see Tali, and Garrus... and Mordin... and Legion and Wrex... one last time... *tear flood* So all this just added to the feeling that the ending was rushed and put together as quickly as possible.Hence this.

The Indoctrination theory is not canon since the developers rejected it. Seeing the nature of Mass Effect Synthesis is not a choice Shepard would make.
I'm mainly conflicted about Control and Destroy.
People often ask the wrong question - should i kill the geth or not?
This war is not about the geth, it's about the Reapers. The question should be this if you can't decide which is better from the two endings - Are the Reapers necessary? Should they continue influencing the Galaxy? Should they help us develop technologically? After all, that's what the Illusive man was all about. Using the enemy's power against him.
If you think that the Reapers shouldn't exist, that they are too dangerous, that we should be free to develop as we see fit, then Destroy is the right choice. It is the right one. At one time Shepard said - Usually the right choice is not the easy one.
Destroy is the only choice that doesn't have eternal consequences. Synthesis and Control are forever lasting.

BroShep with Tali romance here. I'm fairly new to the Mass Effect universe, and the conflict I've felt over the endings (it's a goddamn video game for crying out loud!) is really difficult to describe. Long story short, I will be keeping this nearby for any time that I have doubts that destruction was the right answer. I'd pay money for a version of this with my Shep and his space wife. So. Many. Feels. Truly astounding work. I haven't read your profile but you might have a bright future in cinematography, although that might be a waste of your artistic abilities, which were clearly painstakingly well honed. Bravo.

Never late to join the Mass Effect party, bro! And yes, I think we've all wondered what the hell was wrong with us for getting so emotional over these guys BUT MAN. Also if you haven't seen the Indoctrination Theory videos, I HIGHLY recommend them. They will blow your mind.

Thanks! It's not like a pretty face is going to help a soldier get her job done. And she's certainly not one to use make up. Just think of all those other funny characters that people make: Commander Shepard wakes up in the morning and first thing she does is spend two hours in front of a mirror ironing her hair and putting on blush and lipstick, only to have her own sweat smear it all over her face during battle. Imagine the look of her squad when she removes the helmet. Oh the lols.
And of course everybody knows you can only have respect as a woman if you're absolutely frikkin' gorgeous fap material.

This is very amazing. I don't like the Refuse ending (I don't like any endings other than Synthesis, and even that doesn't quite sit right with me. Don't judge me. XD), and I've seen reinterpretations and tributes and listened to An End Once and for All until my mind went numb, but this work still managed to leave me speechless and resurrect some of the crushing sadness I felt back then. It's very well done, and I think the art style is one of the most fitting I've seen for the Mass Effect verse.
Oh, I get now that this isn't Refuse since you made it before the DLC, but it's still pretty much the same idea.

Have to say, this comic made me cry, when I accidentally started reading it while listening a whole different, yet very FemShep/Garrus kind of sad song.
There was a precise verse in that song that fit just about perfectly on this comic and then there was a flood of tears...

Yes! That's what I believe too. Even if EDI and the geth did die (which I still have to see to believe) and even if it's not Indoctrination, I could never chose control or synthesis, because they're simply abominations, going against everything that has been mass effect up to now. IT'S A TRAP!
