I have spent too much time on this...
This was a result of a need to get the Mass Effect ending from my system. Funny thing is it took so long to make, I was pretty much over it half-way through XD Even funnier is I just cried a little right now
One of the jillion things that bothered me about this ending was that the characters most dear to me didn't even seem to be on Lara Shepard's mind. As explosions were going off, images of Joker, Anderson and... Liara? seem to flash before her eyes. I was kind of outraged. I absolutely love Joker and Anderson, but... Liara? She's great and all, but... No chance of Garrus's face to pop in her mind instead? They ARE in a relationship after all! HE VENTURED INTO THE IDEA OF HAVING KIDS, FOR F**K'S SAKE!
It's funny that everything else about that ending would pretty much make sense if we have in mind the popular Indoctrination Theory (which I'm all on board with), but this... this, haha, really bothered me
Somehow it's like Liara's friendship is forced down my throat a lot of times. No ofense to Liara fans, she's actually a great character, just not one I'm specially fond of. And I really just wanted to see Tali, and Garrus... and Mordin... and Legion and Wrex... one last time... *tear flood* So all this just added to the feeling that the ending was rushed and put together as quickly as possible.Hence this.

I don't think it was indoctrination. Everyone gets behind that theory so easily but the truth is I think the only real choice is to destroy the Reapers. I didn't really buy into Synthesis because it kills Shepard outright. Control sounds closer to indoctrination and unless I thought like the illusive man, which I don't, only then would I have considered it. Two the Catalyst pointed out to Shepard that they had no control whatsoever over him. That right there should disprove the theory. The only real option is to destroy them which really is a very permanent solution to stopping the Reapers. I also chose destroy because my Shepard lives. *thumbs up*

Honestly, the theory is easy to get behind of because... well everything just fits best with indoc theory. It even makes the ending GOOD. Have you actually seen the videos explaining it? I tell you, the more I look into it the more i believe it. And I HAVE watched videos like "debunking indoc theory". The arguments cannot hold a candle. It makes so much sense that even if it's somehow not what Bioware had in mind, it is now inevitably my headcanon.

All the companions you had met throughout your journey, all there with you if not physically, supporting you as you make the final sacrifice. If only they had added this.

This would be a good add into that scene, me and some other people wondered why the hell you only saw joker, anderson and liara/kaiden/ashley. This would make it a lot more...comprehensive, also it would add a bit more sense, which the ending sorely requires.
If wrex, even dream wrex showed up in the current ending he'd be like "What? What kind of choices are those, i should eat you!"

Indeed. All ME2 romanceables were downgraded. I was surprised mordin, legion and thane did not show up the least, because Shep saw them die.

I romanced Garrus (can't not romance Garrus...) and I thought it was pretty SWEET, especially since he's also like your best bro whether you romance him or not, but I understand pretty much everyone else who's not Liara was downgraded... Stupid Liara bioware favorite XD

Yeah, Garrus is awesome. Problem is its kind of lazy as only the me1 romances get sex scenes. May sound strange but they were pretty good, rather tasteful. Honestly i would have made a femshep to specifically see what turians look like without armour. Ditto with quarians and their suits(except not a femshep, obviously). Ah well, i like liara a lot too, but she does hog the spotlight. I like Samara the most of all the asari.
Too bad wrex is stuck on earth >_<. I bet he's pissed about that.

I really don't know why. I'm guessing it comes down to laziness. I kind of wanted to see a naked or at least partly naked(and unmasked) Tali. I would have played through the entire game again just for that. I also wanted the total victory i fought for, and to bro fist garrus at the end, cause he was with me till the end.
I don't know if Wrex would bother.
Synthesis ending: "What the fuck? You know what, since I'll never see Tuchanka again, lets see what a partly synthetic turian tastes like"
Control: "...What was the point of fighting then? Screw it, I'm going to go eat something, you guys do what you want."
Destroy: "So...we're stuck here, and the geth are all dead. The relays blew up...for some reason. Do we even have enough supplies for two months?"
