Some people here clearly didnt read the title, I think this is great! It's not like we are going to draw this exact picture, these are just references and helpful tips and it annoys me that some people dont understand that.
Thanks

This thing is pretty old and I would do most of it different today but yeah this is just an idea how to do it in an easy and fast way.

Weeell... the tutorial does give some good hints ..though I must be honest you ain't the master of drawing either~ no offence just my opinion.
Another thing that I..well had to grin at is that you're talking bout "anatomical impossible" with that elbow bone...I've seen plenty of dragons on dA with that and it didn't seem wrong to me. Besides that there is no real right or wrong about how you design your dragon cuz...oh well they're fantastic creatures XD
Sure they should be recognizeable as such (as flying reptiles) but apart from that ΓΆ_ΓΆ

The tutorial is just my interpretation.
The elbow-thing is just something that does not appear in nature, if bats had these for example it would make their wings and wing-skin less flexible and that would be a minus in any case.
You can have a look at other artist's tutorials for wings or fantasy creatures and many support the idea of the no-elbow-spike.
This tutorial is pretty old also, I should make a newer one sometime.

Maybe you should quit too, it would be better for all humanity.

You decided that it would be better when "you" don't do it.
I don't think so about myself.

Not bad, it just all seems a little bit cartoony. Not to much help on the realism side though, but thats not what you made your tutorial on so I have no reason to complain.

I plan to make a better tutorial that shows more like this one but I did not have time to make something for that so far.
This one is pretty old also.

How did you do the lines? And made the 'clean'?
(been asking this from many)

In this case I made them in Photoshop by using the brush tool, it is very easy to handle but you will get better results when you are using a tablet instead of a mouse.

Really?
My tablet work would never look as good this, never. Its completely unstable to use tablet for me.
It requirs at least 50 tries before line is right...

If you really have problems to get nice and smooth looking outlines you could try to make vector outlines but you would need the Illustrator programm to make that. I use it often to make outlines on bigger pictures and then I just add the colouring in PS.

Cant afford something like that at the moment.
If anything could help, it would to know what kind of brushes you, for example, use? And where should i position my tablet it would not do obscure lines?
(If you dont mind me asking...)

I can only suggest that you allways work with high zoom then you can make better looking outlines oh and it can happen that picture tube monitors distract the tablet with their magnetic field, I'm having that problem at my other working computer, the only thing that helps in this case is to get a TFT screen or to put the tablet further away from the monitor, while you work with it.

Hey! It (monitor/tablet distance) did work!! Thank you sooo much
(+ the skceth is HUGE so i gues zoom would do the trick... homever it is painstakingly slow.)

This is really helpful. I use to love drawing dragons, but I could never get some of the features right. I Think I must just try again.
