Thanks for this wonderful tutorial - it's really the only informative one on how to properly draw dragons (and one that doesn't assume that you can already draw the body of horses and such). The only thing I can suggest is one or two more steps in the head section - in a couple of places I couldn't see how you got from one thing to the next (but I managed lol). Once my scanner is working again, I'll send you the link to the pic, kk? Thanks again!

It is not easy to make a tutorial, because for me the most parts are totally clear, so it happens that I think some steps are not important and I left them out but I tried to make it detailed.
Thanks!

The only thing I really would suggest is to allways draw something different, I think that could help a lot.

Very thorough, i expecially like how you clarified the way the hind legs work. So often people think that the knee bends backwards on animals.

Thanks!
This is the way I do them, and I think that the wings can really be the most annoying part

Very nice! I especially liked the section on the wings, they were probably the most convincing I have ever seen. The claws, too, I can't draw claws to save my life xD
Personally, I would have liked to have seen more basic shapes in the whole body structure. Sometimes I use the circles for the torso, sometimes I just flat draw them without the circles, but I feel that for the beginning dragon artist it's important to know what proportions to take and also if they want to emphasize the forequarters or the hind quarters of the dragon (popular opinion on dA seems to be for "real" dragons favors the forequarters as larger). It also helps point out any errors with the backbone so the drawing doesn't get too far before haveing to be redone.

Thanks!
I must say that I rarelly work with the circles for the body, I often use them for the head, I just do the skeleton method. I't just my way to do it.
I have seen other tutorials for dragon wings, and I found one which is really not recommendable, one of the reasons I made this

Whatever floats your boat. Yeah, about the wings I've always wondered how they sprout "elbow fingers"... they're strange...

Danke!
