4 EDIT: Made some more corrections and adjustments to this tutorial.

3 Edit: Okay finally updated this with actually used methods of book binding other than my sad self taught attempts. Also, good book to buy is "Hand Bookbinding" by Aldren A Watson. I got one for like, $10 on Amazon, but it is the best instructions I've found. This tutorial I've provided is keeping in mind those with little resources. So if you want to go all out, get the book.

2 EDIT: Bought a book on Amazon called "ABC of BookBinding" by Jane Greenfield and this gave me correct terminology and allowed me to finally find the correct meathods of binding the pages. I will eventually get around to editing this tutorial but then there's youtube: type in "kettle stitch" and you will find some fabulous tutorial videos.

1 Edit:Went in and corrected the stitching method for binding the page sections together, this should work a lot better now.

Gasp! I did all those images on Photoshop with just a regular old mouse. Not fun! Any who here is a fulfillment for a request on "How did you make the giant pirate book." Well, that would take too much time just to tell how to bind the book so I just wrote the basics which could be applied to any size book with any material. So here is and enjoy the knowledge. This technique is my own from which I derived after many years of searching for a good tutorial myself. So I guess you could say this is a combination of many tutorials and many trial’s and errors on my part. This is page one of two cause the file was too huge for Deviant art.
