Description
Here is what has been my latest obsession since the last update to Vega, stage 2 ProjectX. (made with fresh resources, the original ProjectX was not recycled)--------------------------------------------------
Download includes:
-Visual Style - any version of Windows Vista (32bit or 64bit)
-browseui.dll - requires 32bit Vista w/SP1
-and shell32.dll - requires 32bit Vista w/SP1
-Installation Instructions
After applying the Visual Style, set your color to "Graphite" and your color intensity control to about 5-10% (real low). The reason is even though the borders are made black, Vista still adds a very slight tint to the default color.

The theme looks amazing. Especially with black sidebar gadgets and one of your icon packages.
Now, do you think you could make a matching firefox theme for 3.0.*? D

Hey, I Love it but I have a problem. This was my first time ever really doing anything with win/32. and I f*cked it up. something happened, idk what, when i moved shell32.dll from your folder to my win/32 folder. It's just not there.. and the original is .dll.bak. I have restore disks.. but won't that mean I lose everything on my Harddrive? Idk if you can help, but if you can please email me at generichumor@live.com
Thanks.

Does it work with 64-bit Vista. In the "Thou shalt readeth" you say that 64-bit will come later, but in the header text on this page it says "Visual Style - any version of Windows Vista (32bit or 64bit)" or is it just tthat the ddl's are not required for 64bit?
Great skin btw, would really like to try it out.

First .... this is definatly one of the best styles iΒ΄ve ever seen.Well done sweatyfish .
The next thing is ... yes ... replacing the shell32.dll can cause Soundtroubles.I had the same effect with my X-Fi and i found after long search in the net the "troublemaker".Vista doesnΒ΄t like it really much to have this file be changed. On my system it deactivates all the soundeffects that are possible with a X-Fi and after replacing the shell32.dll again with the original everything was fine again.
But this is not your fault sweatyfish ... itΒ΄s general
Last question .. could you plz give me an link to that wallpaper ??
ItΒ΄s really good matching to your style and i searched days in the net and didnΒ΄t find something similar so plz

Definitely one of the better themes I've come across so far. I really only have one big issue that a lot of VS don't seem to recognize...
The WMP skin you linked to was also great, but because you made the start menu smaller (also looks awesome btw), opening WMP and minimizing it places it in the start menu and raises everything back up to its original height.
Because this happens, there's a space beneath each opened location, as well as the quick launchers and the start menu.
Still love it though.

hey was looking around for Low Res Vista themes To maximize vista preformance i'm wondering if this uses lower resolutions than the default vista theme and if not. do you know of any places i can go to look for such a theme?. using this theme now and love it. if its low res I'll keep it or maybe i could re-size the images myself? I'll use it for personal use only but would like premision from you before :3

Awesome theme! I went ahead and tried to replace the browseui and shell32 with the ones supplied with this theme and of course it didn't work on my 64-bit Vista. If you could, please do the system files for 64-bit vista? I'll supply the 2 files to you if needed

I accidentally added the .dll files without first updating to SP1. I have the 32-bit version and I updated all the files properly, the problem must have been that I did not update to SP1, and now I cannot load up anything. When I boot up Vista it brings up an error about the physical memory. . . .
Is there any way to edit those files from outside of the OS? Is there even any way to solve this problem?
My computer is dual booted with Mac OS X and I can usually edit my Windows files from the Leopard partition. The problem here is that the files in the System32 file folder cannot be edited.
P.S. It does let me boot the Vista system, but nothing happens besides the error that pops up about not being able to access the physical memory or something like that. I can press CTRL+ALT+DELETE, but I can't open the task manager. When I boot Vista it loads up with that error and then displays a purely black screen. In safe mode it loads up a black screen with the Safe Mode tags in the four corners of the screen.
I have tried loading up the Vista installation disc, but that doesn't help. When attempting to repair it fails.
The easiest solution would probably be to find a way to edit those .dll files back to how they were originally from my Mac OS X partition. Since Leopard is installed on the same hard drive as Vista I can see all of the files from Vista, it's just that some of them cannot be edited.
And it wouldn't help if I copied my files from Vista to Mac because OS X is installed on an HTFS+ file format, which cannot be read from Vista (which is NTFS).
Aside from my stupidity this is a really great skin, it is by far my favorite.
