Perleos was a big deal to the newly founded family of the unicorn pair. Rarity spent weeks to make their new family member the perfect outfits. Fancy had to get her friends to get her to rest and not to overwork herself to exhaustion. Mind you they didn't even know the gender yet, but the unicorn fashionista was just over the moon for what the future holds.

Once they finally got confirmation that they were expecting a son it was then Fancy's turn to celebrate. He would have been happy with a daughter as well but he always wanted a son when growing up. One that he could give an actual childhood, and no pressure at a young age like he had to endure. It made him successful in his work but he rarely had time to be a kid back then.

As for the stuff Rarity had made, some of those wee just little jumpers and blankets. Some were made with girls and boys in mind. Since they wee having a boy, she put the other things into a storage in case she might get a girl in the future or if not, her friends could get them.

Moths later, Rarity was sitting with Fluttershy to some tea in her house. Discord was out with the boys having a game night like usual. While talking, the designer felt something oddly cold on her seat. But only one look at her quiet pegasus friend told her everything she needed to know. Her water broke. Fluttershy got her quickly, with help of her other friends, to he hospital. While AJ helped her stay calm the rest tried t get a hold on Sweetie Bell and Fancy Pants. But it took some time to locate him in the first place. In fact, Fancy was in Canterlot while Rarity's water broke. They were sure that she could give birth in the next few days but he had to travel to the city to check on something at work. Twilight had to teleport a few times back and forth where they believed he could have been. Once she found him and broke the news about Rarity being in labor, the stallion panicked.

The alicorn bot them back right in time b4 Rarity was about to go through more pain than she already was. The rest of the 5, including Bell, waited in the halls for the time being. It had been hours when they got there and everypony grew increasingly worried. But all their thoughts came to a hold as their heard a baby crying. Fancy opened the door and welcomed them all inside. There Rarity held a squirmy bundle in her arms. She looked tired but she kept her usual radiant aura on her. She introduced her sister and friends to Perleos, their son.

As an infant he was quite the picky eater. Not even Pinkie and her own husband could make something he would enjoy. His mother was at her wits end. He would drink milk, but not actual baby food. Fancy got some advice from his own family, and they just laughed at him. Turns out, when he was his son'S age, Fancy would act the same way. Now he had to go through the same. He then tried to remember what his favorite food back when he was small. But since it was such a long time ago, he had no clue where to begin.
