Description
I wasn't able to scan it since it painted on board and alot bigger than my scanner actually is. So I had to shot it using my camera. So excuse the hard flash light and color deviation from the original. I tried to show it as accurate as possible. The paper scrap reads: "die WΓΌrde, -n vΓ€rdighet." - what means dignity.
Structural paste, oil, acrylics, paper, glue, tea, coffee, pencil, ink on board.
40x30 cm / 15x11 inch

just curious, and also interested, but can you tell me the price of the original? if you don't want to put it on DA, you can mail it to bram_antheunis@hotmail.com

sehr interessante Arbeit ... gefΓ€llt mir sehr gut.
Ich bin immer wieder fasziniert davon, was man alles mit Acrylfarben und Strukturpaste anfangen kann.

i was looking through your entire gallery (Again) and i really love the vintage/old/ fairytale feeling i get out of it. but i have noticed with a lot of your peices that everything i focus on it in the center. It is interesting in some cases, it is like the acrylics and texture you put around the objects help frame it, but i think it would be interesting if you broke it up more.

You're absolutely right. Though all my recent pieces and the ones I paint on right now, have decentered elements on it. I try to move forward.

I think the flash light helps the piece, it seems starker and more interesting, it's great, it feels brilliantly obscure, yet not oddball-ish, keep it up!

textures attract most of my attention... I keep wandering from one bit to another. the work appears tangible, and if I saw it live I couldn't resist the urge to touch it, sorry. the keyword seems to be dignity yet I find nothing dignifying about the piece... to me, it's more like dignity that's been taken away.

værdighet. I think that is norwegian..? we have that word at least, do you have it in germany as well?
I love this piece. I dont worry too much about the fact that it is shown through a camera. I think it a good shot of the piece, or i havent seen it really, but that it just my opinion. the paintwork is very good i think. and using coffee is a great trick! gives a great effect.

We don't have that word in german. I got the scrap I glued on the piece from a collage material exchange with a Swedish girl.

damn, I don't know exactly how to put it....... perfect.
tea & other ingredients, got just the right aged fx ^_^
truly sublime.
I love the depth & subtle variety of texture as well as the central ribs.
your work helps me see + think about some of my own interests as far as texture & subject matter.........
thanx mucho & keep it up;
I read your page re: the collaborative work via mail & such:::: if I can, I'll try to indulge.
Peace by piece,
Rob

ja schΓΆΓΆΓΆΓΆne sache, daumen hoch
aber kannste mir sagen, in welcher sprache "vΓ€rdighet" die "wΓΌrde" ΓΌbersetzt heisst?

swelements In reply to khafianer [2004-11-23 09:02:53 +0000 UTC]
