I finally went and saw that movie - omg so SO wonderful, it was so beautifully arranged and I haven't felt that emotional in a long time. Definitely one of my current favorites.
Anyways, you drew Dug so adorable!! I find it's sometimes hard to draw CG characters but you totally captured him! <33
A question pertaining to the drawing, did you just scan a sketch and color it digitally? You do that "style" a lot and it always looks so nice. I'd love to learn how to.

actually this particular one I did completely in the computer (photoshop) just for spontaneity's sake. imo you can really see the difference in the line weight and quality (I tend to like my rl sketches tons better and that's why more often than not I colour them). this was just meant to be a quick n' dirty job.

I'm trying to find a stuffed Dug toy that says lines from the movie. ^_^ I think it could quite possibly be the cutest thing ever.

I think I could feel everyone in the theatre tearing up at some parts. pretty amazing since so many people dismiss animated movies as for kids only, as an animator that was great to see and feel the audience reacting to it. the best kids movies aren't just for kids.
