I REALLY wanted to get started on it this summer. But... things just got in the way, as things are wont to do. =_=ANYWAY, I did get around to drawing out a 'cover' for the whole deal. I'm pretty sure it's going to be a comic, and I have some more characters and a rough storyline in my head. It'll need some fleshing out, but eh. maybe my muse will return from its badly-timed break during term. It does that.

Aww! Such a cute idea! Everytime I try to do a story I end up dropping it cause I get extremely busy xD I can't wait to see the outcome of it! Yeah and tiny dogs are absolutely cool! My aunt has two tiny dog mixes (one is a chiuauah-doberman mix and the other a pomeranian-shitzu-chiuauah mix)

Haha, it's pretty much all my Toy characters (perhaps you've seen their ref sheets? They're all further back in my gallery. The sighthound tail there is Della, and there's only one Papillon, Posie there.. I think you're looking at Lucky, the Cavalier King Charles.

The King Charles, Lucky, is the red and white mass of silky fluff up top. The black and tan Papi is the one you can see fully, lying next to the Maltese in the middle.

LOL, yeah, incidentally, it was ^^ My pencil lines were starting to look better than when I sketched on comp, so I just gave up and used the sketchlines xD I like the raw quality it has, personally

Y'know, one thing that I've noticed about your work is that your characters are utterly adorable and well drawn, and you've got a great start to the coloring, but they look kinda flat, because your contrast is so low. Do you do that on purpose, or just not enough time/attention span? But you do have a nice way of forming the shadows to look like fur without being incredibly complex, and that's a feat in itself!

Heh. It's ok, I completely understand. *hugs* And yeah, monitors may be part of it...one of my photos looks great on here, but it looks terrible on my parent's monitor, all the middle greys are gone.

That's probably a me-thing. I don't know if I have better-contrast eyes than anybody else or my monitor is just extra-good, but it isn't the first time someone's mentioned contrast problems. The contrast all looks just fine to me here o.O Also, I didn't want harsh lighting in this picture.
ARGH. I thought I'd worked on deepening my shadows enough already, but I guess it's back to the drawing board -sigh-

It is so cute! Hardly any canine artists pay attention to the smaller breeds, which is really a shame seeing as how I'm quite fond of a lot of them (especially Pomeranians... I have a notable weakness for those somehow.. ^.^'). I really like the use of vibrant color and pattern here... it's very eye-catching.

Yeah, my point exactly. If you've read my long spiel on my dA ID, you'll know exactly how I feel on the matter. Basically I'm just sick of big dogs always being the heroes and whatnot, and toy dogs being stereotyped as whiny, spoiled little brats with nothing better to do than sit around and be prissy, so this will focus in on the Toys
