Awww this is so sweet! I love their expressions and the beautiful, soft and painty shading you have done. The pose of the cat is so cute, how its head is tilted and it's knawing at the dog's ear!

the cat's not actually supposed to be gnawing on the dog's ear xD; but it's okay if it still looks cute either way! thanks so much hun, I really do need to draw more cats.

Sweet picture. One question, though, on the dog's collar tag, there's one white spot that seems to be somewhat 'off' the tag- was that intentional or an accident? I'm just curious.

thanks so much! I'm glad you like this one, I think it's one of my best done in this way.
that was actually intentional, though I probably didn't execute it the best way in this case. when I colour digital shiny things I like to use a soft brush and have a bit of the white highlight overlap the outline so it looks like a glint.
hee, yeah. even though I personally prefer a more cartoony fun style, I like to sit and render a picture once in a while just for a change of pace and to prove I still could if I wanted to. xD my A Level art project was seven large pencil and ink drawings rendered with really fine detail, actually.

My topic was animal abuse actually, and some of the final pieces were pretty graphic. It might be interesting to have floating around somewhere.
I hope you manage. I know it can be really tough, it certainly was for me. Looking back I'm not really sure how I managed four A level subjects plus being in track and field!

Well, it show in your work that the art project went well. I absolutely love to draw finely detailed work, but sometimes I find it can be a real drag. I desperately want to loosen up my style.

I really love this one!... Coloring black characters is not easy, but you made the pup coat look shiny and the fur is just perfect!...

<3 thanks so much Maria! black is manageable after some practice, though I still find it hard to colour in real media! and yes Tiki is so pretty, she was a real challenge to colour but I'm happy with what I did here.
