Thank you very much, I'm very flattered. Again, though, this is a pretty old picture. xD I appreciate your comments very much but I have a ton more sighthound art in my gallery that I am much more proud of, I'm just curious why you seem to have overlooked those pieces.
Don't say you can't do things, because then you run the risk of believing that. If you're not so good at them, just practice and try to make it better. It's all any of us can do.

(It's all right, I was just curious since you seemed to single out those two pictures of the same brindle lurcher. Was wondering if maybe you had a brindle greyhound or lurcher, or liked them, or something! I guess I am just prouder of most of my newer work and like any proud parent I like to show it off!)
It's very flattering of you to say things like that, but remember, don't just look to me for inspiration. The best advice I can give is for you to take inspiration from as many things as possible! That way you'll be able to try different things and find a style that's truly 'you'. :3 And we don't have an Oscars for art!

xD I am sure there are many Megans in the world. I know two on dA.
Well Timmy's hair is much much shorter than Lili's wire coat, and from the photos that Pann sent me his coat looks pretty much like a true greyhound's. They have very short hair that sticks tightly to their bodies and especially right there on the body wouldn't show as 'sticking out'.

Though Tim's become a little grey and grizzled round the muzzle now and Lili is a lot more peppered I should really get new photos up. (Even though these are 100% representative of their "younger selves"!)

We don't really know what he's crossed with since he's a rescue dog, but I think it was probably greyhound cross border collie/whippet somewhere in there. He looks like a mini greyhound (about collie size) with bigger ears

'Lurcher' is a generic term for the offspring of a sighthound (usually a greyhound) crossed with another breed (most commonly a collie or a terrier).

Brindle's a hard colour to do digitally but you did a pretty good job here. This goes really nicely with your digital painting style, it looks so soft.
