Finishing up my leftover art trades and commissions - mostly ages old, sorry about the wait to anyone I owe art to o_xThis is ~Wolfdog 's lurcher boy, Timmy. Brindles are hard to do when based on real markings, but I hope I did him justice!
(...and I screwed up the trotting pose x_o thanks ~Bafa for pointing it out.)

*faves* I agree: brindles are just TOO hard. That's why i've never attemped to draw one. XD Well, you certainly have no problem with the coloring!

I don't really find them hard anymore, now that I have had loads of practice with them they're actually quite all right. xD And yes I did mess up on the pose but I'm glad you like it anyhow. Thanks! Don't forget I drew this over a year ago! I do have plenty of sighthound art that's a lot better than this because it's more recent.

I love how you have done the brindle colouring... it's really realistic!
Also I like the white outline around the dog... that's pretty effective.
Also I love his eyes!

The brindling is brilliant! I adore his expression too. The brindle colour reminds me of my first dog, a greyhound named Ginger. I miss her so much!

The first thing I thought when I saw it goes something like
"SQUUEEEE!! ISSA TIMMEH DOG!!"
I apologise for his markings being a pain lol, but you did them really well. I think he has a weird brindle.
Well done for capturing the obliviously happy expression on his face, as he is bound to walk into something/have his legs attacked by a low ranging dachshund puppy
His chest is bald though lmao I wouldn't expect you to have seen that from the photos, we just always tease him about it and he looks sad. He looks sad most of the time when you're talking about him though.

With a gait like that, he's bound to fall over =_=; sorry about screwing that up. Sorry about missing the bald chest too - I could tell he had a white patch there, but I wasn't sure how far it went

Yeah, you cant really see the white on his chest too well from the side. It mostly just looks like his fur is getting lighter and pinker. I'm sure it's because he lies down so much, the stupid bugger has a large fat pad and bald pink skin...
Well anyway, trades with friends are much better than random people. I enjoy them a lot more, because you know that you get more effort into the pictures, cos the other person cares more ^__^

Very pretty, I love how you drew his pace for some reason. Its a gorgeous pose. I also really like how you drew is color around his neck, everyone makes the colors they draw on their dogs like HUGE and then when you look at real dogs they really don't look like that. I mean I'm not saying they wanted them to look real but I think you get my point.
ANyways, I love the shading and I like how you do the brindle.

and... the insides of the ears are shaded XD (having way to much fun with this XD)
The way you did the fur around his neck to make his collar evident is also really realistic *squees*
