(l-r) Bebe, Kite, Cayda, Zoot, Jovi, Topper
so yes, Penny's finally been bred and had her litter. I've been planning this forever but finally I get to play it out and have it happen, FUN. I feel I have to thank *BlueFlyer for helping me out, I hadn't intended to start a whole plot with it and I'm really quite pleased it turned out the way it did.
I can hardly wait to see these guys grow up on the MG boards. aaaahh.

The bugs actually correspond to their registered names: Copperwings Baby Bumblebee, Copperwings Dizzy Dragonfly, Copperwings Swingin' Cicada, Copperwings Yellow Jacket, Copperwings Glad Grasshopper, and Copperwings Daddy Longlegs. heh. I love themed litters.

I know! I'm forgiving because otherwise it was a great movie, and they're all still really cute. But I ought to redraw them all just because I can and be all GENETICS DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY. lawl. On MG we do ask that offspring/markings be realistic, and for me, that's just fun to plan out.

If I could take 1 I would take all 6 xD, but there are 3 that appeal to me, Bebe, Cayda and Zoot. Zoot the most because he looks like the brute of the bunch <3 Looks like he could be the gentle giant. Bebe's colouration is O_O GIEF!! <3

I'm afraid our mod who usually handles the cats is very ill, and none of the other mods know very much about cats. We've decided it's better to put cat character creation on hold until he is well enough to return and do his job.

There are some great characters in there; you could maybe see if any of them appeal to you! It's also a chance for you to get a kitty to start, if any catch your fancy. :3

Afghans are pretty awesome, but right now we're trying to discourage people from creating sighthound characters as there are quite a number of them making up the boards (you can blame myself and my fellow fanatics for that >.>; ). But, not to worry! There are plenty of other dogs with big brown eyes and long hair all over their faces, and I'm sure we could find something that'd be awesome and interesting. S/he could even be a mix of some kind. Perhaps we can discuss this in a chat!

They're sooo cute, but I think I told you that a while ago. Six variations on Penny's and Wing's looks, and all unique.
I love the coloring, by the by--especially the eyes. Something seems different with that. Maybe it's just me...

I don't know about variations on looks, I actually did do some genetics research and worked out the phenotypes of both parents to get the possible combinations before designing them. xD And nope, it's not just you. I took more care with shading and highlighting the eyes with these, I'm glad you noticed!

d'aww thanks. Bebe has a lot of sable over her back, as does her brother Zoot. it's a lot of black fur mixed in with the red and it's like a sadlle pattern except not. xD 'Seal' colouring, like Wings has, is thought to be some kind of heavy sabling effect, which is why the pups all have quite a bit on them. And yes, my dog's claws are all varying degrees of black and white, I wanted to translate that too.
