Pet portrait I did for ~setodragon a couple of months ago of her four dogs (from top) Katie, Nemesis, Pepsi, and Kona.

The one in the front is a Dobermann Pinscher, the one in back is a pit bull terrier, and the other two are mixed breeds.

You're artwork always astounds me. How you portray each breed so accurately and with such personality...i am so jealous. If you do open up commissions of this nature, i'll be buying one from you. My puppy is really old and a bit sick we believe, so seeing her done in your style would be an amazing gift for my momma for christmas. ~

Love! This kind of thing is SO hard, I am tickled pink at how marvelous it came out! Personality and anatomy changes for all of them.

Translating pet photos into pet portraits. In some ways it's easier to do hyper-realism when doing that - translating into recognizable caricatures is a challenge. =]

I'm positively in love with the Dobe! The fur detailing on the shepherd is is beautiful, and the mouth on the top gal is so adorable.

They're all very charming, I like how the somewhat stoic dogs are flanked(or whatever the vertical equivalent is) by the more outgoing looking ones. I also really like how they seem to be restricted to the dark purple area, but don't look cramped at all, good job on composition.

Katie looks so happy! And Kona looks very curious! Pepsi looks very gentle and eager to please. Nemesis looks like she's a no nonsense dog.

They are all absolutely gorgeous
I love especially the bullish one and the doberman!... You're shading is great, it brings out the fur texture - more rough or more silky.
And i can see what you did with the eyebrows here ^_^
I was thinking about making pet portraits a commission category too, but also with a different technique from my usual, more sketchy and more detailed on their face.
I'm gonna make portraits of all my pets - rats inclueded - as examples
