Chows are indeed awesome. I've had the fortune of meeting a couple; one of my acquaintances used to have them :3 yes Isi is ALOOF like a Chow you see. and I annoy people a lot that way too.

hey, if you want it enough, my good shepherd, you'll get it. somehow it's all about observation and practice. and the more you draw, the more you improve. you just gotta keep experimenting and never staying stagnant.

<3 so glad you enjoy. this image has been in my head for weeks; it was just a question of drawing it out. fun. and I hadn't properly celebrated my badgeriness before anyhow so yay.

also kind of funny how I'm the Chinese person and you're the anglophile eh? xD I do admit to using a photoref for Isi; I'm not that used to drawing Chows. They have blockier faces and smaller eyes than Huskys do.

I hope your hand gets better, wow. mauled by a wildcat? should I even ask? xD

hehehe I know what that's like. I have a bunch of ideas I need to get out onto paper or canvas :3
I've been Slytherin on the first sorting hat test, and then I was Ravenclaw for about a year when I took them, and it then went back to Slytherin. I identify equally with both houses, but I actually have the Slytherin scarf

it is! I never thought about that - that is pretty neat. It's alright that you used a reference, I usually reference for things I'm unfamiliar with, particularly spaniels and then sighthound rear legs. My ridgeback has more of a sighthound frame than a mastiff-ish one, and I try to use her for reference when I can [though she is incredibly camera shy]!

Thanks. It's not too bad, it just hurts more as the day goes on. The story is that a wild kitten came in to the shelter, and I went to go check on him[or her, we didn't check that] so I opened up the cage and checked to make sure everything was ok, re-arranged the bed a little and then went to close the door [he was hiding in the back of the cage behind a litterbox, a good 3 or so feet from the door. The cages are roughly 3x2 feet, and about 2 feet high as well.]. When I was closing the door, he sprung out and whipped around the door and latched onto my hand [and not even the one I had IN the cage!] and bit my thumb once, then let go bit my index finger twice, then bit my thumb again three more times before I guess finding a good enough grip to hang on.... at that point my priority was to get the cat off, and I finally did by relatively-gently squeezing on his jaws in the back [the same way you get ferrets and dogs to release a bite] and he let go. Sometime in all this he cut the palm of my hand three times, my arm once, and as he jumped away from me, cut my leg too.

I so want to try my hand at painting and messing about like that again :3 after my internship is over there'll be more time for that - yay!
granted I don't take a lot of Sorting quizzes, but in general I think I'd fit with the Hufflepuff. generic-trait-wise, I'm good-tempered, fairly passive and have a rather persuasive conscience, but as well as that I'm not particularly noted for my bravery/foolhardiness, my intellect/eccentricity or my ambition/pragmatism. (could of course, mean that I have 'em all in equal amounts. 'uff bashers never realise that. >3 HAH. *cough*sorry.) fascinating thing I love about house-sorting is it's not as clean-cut as people seem to think it is :3

heh, oh dear. I hope that gets better and he didn't have anything nasty. I also hope he calms down.

indeed, I would never really fit into the Gryffindor house, but there is certainly a wishywashy grey area for me and Ravenclaw/Slytherin It is certainly not clear-cut at all!

he seems to have calmed down already and doesn't seem to have anything wrong with him... he was just really scared.
