mmkay. I really wasn't getting any inspiration to do a comic for Toy, so I decided to write it out as a story first and then maybe in future I can finish the comic. I'd rather have the story so I can iron out things as I go anyway, and writing and drawing come to me more naturally separately rather than together. hehs.right, since my 100themes were supposed to be themed around the Toy characters too, I figured Introduction was a nice place to kickstart both things. illustrated above is Muffy's arrival at.... whateverstreet to her new home, and her first meeting with Kitson the Yorkie. you can read about all that here: [link]
(yes I know the floortiles and perspective are screwed. bleh. there's no ruler on the computer, and the line tool is a pain in the butt.)

Old characters that I wanted to make a comic about but it's been on the back burner for so long that if I do decide to do anything with them again there's going to be a big overhaul. But yes, I kinda did.

I never put it up anywhere because I never finished developing it or drawing it out. You could probably find some of the old character sheets I made, but if I do resurrect this idea the characters will probably go through some major changes. Sorry!

You have such clean crisp beautiful art, I can easily tell that is a yorkie, and you wonderfully captured that "terrier attitude!"

I guess I don't see the point in posting it more than one place, so it's just going to be on my journal - especially since I may make modifications and such later on, it's all still rather rough. I also like the fact that on my GJ I can use icons and it can be all on my layout and in my font, teehee.

This is a really sweet picture. Muffy looks so startled, poor thing! Your expressions are always perfectly readable (what are you, an animator or something?

eeee, I so want it to become a comic but it seems that I take better to writing and drawing while done separately! xD so I am doing that. maybe some time in the distant future the comic will actually materialise, but till then people will just have to content themselves, with, y'know, actually reading. TOO BAD FOR THEM.

YA RLY. I suppose it explains the seeming decline in general intellect and attention span amongst... everybody.
I just got back to schooooool and am a junior now. (whoa where does the time go. o.o; ) and am getting my groove back, but it's an enjoyable process! I just wish all this damn inertia would go away though, it's really cramping my style. well it's nice to see you around here again!
(OOH and I should let you know, on Mushroom Grove ~basi is wondering whether you still want to play the puppy Zinnia from her Macy litter that you adopted from her. if you're too busy right now it's no biggie - I mean, if you plan to eventually come back then she'll keep her for you - but if you're still on hiatus from the Grove and/or would rather not take on another character, then she'll just put her back up for adoption

aash, you shouldn't feel bad if you had a valid reason for the absence. *pats* busy-ness does that to you. I'm sure Basi would still love to let you have Zinnia. Macy hasn't even officially given birth yet so there's still time. I'm just glad to hear you'll still be around, a lot of the old standbys have gone poof for one reason or another and I've missed them. there's a lot of new blood coming in though, and I'm excited to see what they bring to the community!

On another note... which program were you using? I think PS has horizontal ruler guidlines and/or grids you can use?

Lol it may be worth looking in to, then. I never realised there was a tool like that in the GIMP til I accidentally dragged a marker down from the side of the page. It was wonderful really, since it allowed me to create parallel lines for my comic!

heehee, yup, Yorkshire Terrier! they were originally bred to be real ratting terriers, so they're tough little dogs. rather different as to what their stereotype is now.
