Near, I believe, has an ending as tragic as all the other characters in DN. He is completely and utterly alone. Though he may not fully understand it, he can still feel loss and loneliness...this much is evident.Β There is nothing left for him other than a letter. It's heartbreaking, really.Β *soliloquy over*
