It could be perceived as that XD He could either be severely pissed that his sugar cubes fell off the spoon, or in a state of acceptance that he's about to die. I leave it for the viewer to decide. And please forgive me for continually rambling at you.

Hey, I have no problem with you rambling at me. We're artists, thinkers, dreamers.... It's what we do.
I once apologized to someone on here for sounding a little crazy. I'm going to tell you what they told me: we're all crazy here! XD

I have trouble imagining L being pissed though. I can't think of him having a temper like that. O.o

Yes, you're right XD I don't think he'd actually care very much. He might be slightly annoyed if someone made them fall.

On purpose? Yes. Such a terrible waste of sugar!!!!

XD Nobody messes with L's sugar intake. No one.

Perfect picture to go with it!! Lol!!!

How do you think he would fair without Watari?

Ahh, Watari. I love him so much; he doesn't receive enough credit. I feel like he is L's emotional support, in a way. L doesn't show much emotion, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have them. They may be rare in surfacing, but if they ever did, I figure L would probably go to Watari with them. For instance, before L dies, he speaks to Watari alone, which I imagine would probably be over L's feeling of impending doom, or something of that nature. Watari is definitely a paternal figure in his life, and I doubt he'd do well without him. Not that he wouldn't adapt...I just feel as if L was alive and Watari was not, L would be missing a very vital part of his life. And, less importantly, in the whole "master detective" occupation, Watari does everything besides solving the case. He is L's ears, eyes (to some extent), feet...and in my opinion, heart. I find the best of L in Watari, if that makes any sense.

It makes sense. They never show the emotional side of L that would invoke Watari as a father figure, but once they mention the orphanage and all.... It peeks into that idea a little, eh?

Btw, thanks for inspiring me a little bit on writing tonight's episode! You'll see where this emotional confidante role comes into play.

Yes, it does, doesn't it? Though it really drives the final nail in the coffin, as far as the L-feels go. (Excuse the pun, that's in rather poor taste as far as humor goes...)

Ooh, I'm glad to have been of some service! I seriously need to finish this fic I'm reading soon (only like, 6 chapters left ), otherwise I may just explode from excitement before I ever get to reading yours... I really love fanfics that go into some depth on L and Watari's relationship. I'm super excited.

Well, I don't go into depth on their relationship, but I go into the honest reflection of what L might want without Watari. In my fanfic, Watari died. L has no one to keep satisfy his undying sweet tooth. He has no emotional confidante.... I would tell you more details, but I don't want to spoil my own fanfic for you.
But my fanfic does rotate a lot on perspective. From relationship focus to mission focus to other character contact focus.... But it's all necessary for the intertwining of them all. What is this fanfic you're reading anyway?

I have this problem following other fanfics.... I'm picky on punctuation, grammar, spelling, all of that. If they don't have it, I can't focus on what they're writing no matter how good. I'm not a snob.... I just have a little OCD-ness going on.

Fair enough. ^^ You're making this suspenseful. And right now I'm reading Poison Apple on someone's recommendation. It's a bit explicit but the characterization/character psychology and plot line are amazing.

And I know what you mean. ...Seriously, some people just need a guide to English grammar. Not that I'm not guilty of the same thing when I write, but I break the rules more out of artistic license than ignorance.

Poison Apple? I've never heard of it. Then again, I've been taking recommendations from my best friend of 17 years for anime. Ironically, her name is also Jasmine. Her recommendations are The Wallflower and Darker than Black. I have yet to get around to that. I don't even know where my spare time goes.... o.o....

Hey, I'm not grammatically perfect all the time either, but like you, it's for artistic-sake. At least it's not as bad on here as it is on Facebook.... It's very real on Facebook.... there are truly illiterate people on there that don't even know sentence structure.... Scary, isn't it? Now you see why I don't consider age a measure for behavior?

It's an L x Light story in which L is resurrected...supposedly the 'most famous' Death Note story there is. It is an admirable story so far, really...

And yes, I do see now. But oh, Facebook...all I'm going to say is Facebook and I don't get along.

Facebook used to be my drug..... now I have this! And the best part? I don't have to see all the stupid political and all stuff that ticks me off.

OH?!...... "most famous" you say?............ Well, mine is another ballpark of adding in a reader, but I'd like to think that I can compete. That wouldn't be an even match since we have different focuses, would it? :/

swift-winged-soul In reply to LawlietLady [2015-03-26 22:17:11 +0000 UTC]

XD Yes, it's in a whole other category than your fic. And as far as 'most famous,' it's been finished for 8(?) years I believe, has like...2,500 reviews or something and is ridiculously long. You may not have as large an audience as that yet, but you've only just gotten your foot in the door while that one's had a huge head start.

True story..... I'm an ambitious kind of person. Bless my poor, rugged soul, eh? If that one's been around for 8 years, it sounds like it started around the end of the anime. I've got a lot of catching up to do, but what's a goal without a challenge? I mean, I love writing..... I want to do something with it eventually, even if it isn't Death Note or fanfic even. I should have gotten a degree in English or something, but nope.... a fleeting passion for a delusion held me captive. I'd rather not go into detail about that. That's another long, sad, painful story I am progressively fleshing out in other entries I don't post on here.

Well, when all else fails against Poison Apple, I'll at least try to be one of the best L x reader kind of fanfics. Maybe that would be more feasible?

It's good to be ambitious, I wish I was more so. I tend to be afraid of change. So good for you
And I don't think you'll fail against PA. I think most of the buzz about it has died off over the years, as you've stated previously, I'm a bit late to the party. ^.^ I know you'll be great.

Bless you for your confidence in my abilities. Being a new fanfic writer..... it's easy to have doubts. About the only thing I have over the rest of them is grammar, punctuation, spelling, sentence structure, and adhering to the original characters that we all fell in love in the first place. Well, I'm in it for the long haul. If you are, it looks like we'll be keeping in touch just fine, eh?

And honestly, sometimes being ambitious isn't a really good thing. I'm a perfectionist. I'm very hard on myself sometimes. I don't want to be, but I just am. Super high standards.... Trust me, if I don't change anything for the better, I feel complacent. I've been through a lot of changes since I've graduated from college.... Trust me, you just learn that it's a natural part of life when you keep taking hit after hit like that.
