Nothing like the last Slayers art I did. Nothing cute about this. This is fan art for Rezo the Red Priest from Slayers as he's slowly over taken by Shabranigdo and the people he's saved/killed. He doesn't appear for very long in the series but his character presents many contradictory ideas that have always interested me.As for the art itself, it would have been easy just to draw his tent like robe without bothering with the body beneath it, but if I didn't take the time for that it really would end up looking like a tent, something I've always disliked about his original design. That and it's always a challenge to shade red cloth without making it look muddy.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the drawing of an undermined great villain.

Rezo is one of my favorites, he strikes a great balance of someone you can feel for and yet never excuse.
And this looks amazing, the composition is great and the varied red hues really give an ominous, hellish feel!

I toyed around with using other colors aside from Red, but it never worked. Rezo and Red just goes hand in hand, especially given the subject.

Beautiful flow and structure! Down with the tent like robe XD The ominous glow and red zombie eyes are also a nice touch. This whole thing just screams creepy cool drama!
