Description
This silly, little "Linear3D" flame has been plaguing me for the past week, and I think I finally was able to create something magical with it; Although it is by no means perfect, hopefully you guys can let me know what you think of it! Fullview please!JWildfire: 4 "Layerz"

Thanks for the super cool comment! I really wish I had the patience to make stuff like this anymore, but I definitely consider it my very best 2D fractal creation!Β

Hey thanks! An image lost somewhere in time back when I used to make those silly 2D fractals!
I might revisit JWF at some point down the road, and perhaps when 2.0 is officially out.
Thanks for the kind words! I'm not exactly sure what "kind" of fractal this is, but I will take that as a very high compliment!

I really like this. Linear fractals always look so flat and boring to me, so it's good to see one with such great depth. Keep up the great work.

Thanks!!!! I agree too; now that I started using MB3D, 2D fractals are the boring sauce!

Magical flames or ice, a part of tree leafs, undersea corail, Β outerspace comet, fantasy wings, crysalis of some creature, precious crystals..These are the diferent interpretation I had while observing the structure but it can also be everything else that imagination can make you think it is.
This is typicaly what I like with abstact things, everyone can see his own interpretation
and even have not to be limited to only one interpretation of the work.
Congratz on your amaizing style, I came because of the DD but this one is my favourite ^^

Thank you so much for the kind words again! I completely agree with you as well on the interpretation of abstract work. I make work in my mind's eye so to speak, but I love hearing what others get out of it as well. It often time allows me to see something I never would have before myself! I spent a great many hours on this getting it to a presentable level, and I even felt it wasn't quite good enough after that; It just goes to show that it's most likely all in my head!
Thanks again!

Hearing viewers interpretation is indeed interesting and myself I submit consept art of my works with the goal to talk with viewers about what is good or need to be improved, so I understand your enthousiasm toward constructive comments.
(even is the DA comunity in a whole is not really talkative and prefeair instant-fav)
Also, a quote of myself about that "my work is not perfect enough" most artists says:
No professional or amateur piece of Art is ever perfect, and it's from those imperfect details that "unique styles" comes from in my point of view. So even if you have to aim perfection to progress, never be "despressed" because an artwork in not close enough to what it look in your mind.Β Have a good day, If you want to talk about anything I'll be glad to answer private notesΒ Β

Interesting, it reminds me of anemones and undersea coral reefs for some reason, although the background does seem rather space-like. Β I like the colors the most at the left side of the screen, and the texture and fractal structure the most at the right side.
Linear is one of those fun plugins to work with. Β It can do interesting things when used by itself, but it also works well to support the structure of other variations. Β I find it harder to work with when using pure linear, as it's incredibly easy to end up with patterned shapes when you're looking for something smoother and more natural. Β Despite that, it's still very handy. Β I don't know how significantly the "3D" variant affects this fractal versus the typical Linear, but it's been forever since I've last delved into the realm of 3D IFS stuff XD

Thank you so much for the excellent feedback! JWF is a ton different than Apophysis I find, and the default transform is "Linear3D." This flame actually had it's humble beginnings as a randomly generated flame, which I then turned into this; Of course, with many attempts and steps along the way. This is actually 4 "live" fractals or "Layerz." The 4 transforms on the base fractal (16 transforms all together) were all Linear3D, of varrying weight, and the last one had the "wedge" variation which allowed me to create the conifer shape you see here. It all looked rather dull until I put it together the only way I know how.
I have only been involved with fractaling for a month, so I have much to learn. With such a great, talented community around here, that shouldn't be a problem!

"Only a month" --> If this is only a month in, I can't want to see what you'll be doing in the future
I've honestly not used JWF, though I have been following what it's been doing. Β I find myself able to do enough with Apo/Chaotica, and using Yet Another Program is something I do not quite have time for at the moment XD
