Thanks! The depth of field post processing option is built into Mandelbulb 3D, and here it's a combo of that and ambient depth colors. Thanks for looking!

nice, i tried to use mandelbubl3D, but it only works on windows and i couldn't use it in linux, but i found mandelbulber, which is similar (i've been told so, i'm not sure though)
do you have any links to learn how to use it?
also, can you export the scene into another 3d software (eg: blender)?

Ohhhh, well I use Linux too. It runs to absolute perfection through WINE. You just have to have WINE and Mono from the repo's (on Debian or Arch systems I know you should be able to get these packages) installed. Mandelbulber is a headache and a half. I would avoid it at all costs if I were you, and there isn't much in the way of tutorials for it either.

i tried it through wine, and it crashes often (the error code was: segmentation fault), i have mono installed too, but i'm not sure why
i'll try later to fix the problem

Sounds odd. Sorry I can't help. I've tried it with several distros without fail, so I'm not sure what's going on.

it's probably with my relatively new hardware, i had problems whith blender because the graphics driver was old and i had to disable the VBO feature and it was solved
i might try with a testing version of ubuntu instead of the 14.04LTS one, it's still using the linux kernel 3.13

Should not have anything to do with your graphics driver. Mandelbulb is purely CPU driven. An update in operating system and kernel could always help solve the problem, and it should fetch all the up-to-date drivers automatically for you. That's the one thing I love about Linux!

unless if your linux is debian stable , i updated everything and the kernel was still 3.02 (now it's 3.17 i think), i tried to install it from testing repository and it got all my system acting funny and wierd
what about the cpu architechture, i have a i5 and ubuntu x64 bits, is wine fully functionnal in x64 bits mode?

I have a 64 bit processor (AMD A10 APU) and distro myself, and that's definitely what everyone should be running anyway. I run a variant of Manjaro (based on Arch and Pacman) called Netrunner. So far I've had zero problems with it besides the install. Might be worth checking out, as I know Arch packages are very up to date and definitely more "bleeding edge" than Debian stable. Hope that might help!

thanks, i got it fixed, it was just a problem in the wine settings, it was set to windows 2.0 somehow , i've set it to windows 7 and it seems to work fine, thanks
