Yeah, unfortunately it was an alpha/beta version! And yup it's a diffuse map and a lightmap!

This is lovely! I seem to have wandered off to tweak (using dark-beam 's hint about fiddler=3) and forgotten to comment before, but I really like the shapes and colours in this.

I am far from an expert on such matters, but it looks fine to me! If you keep updating the formula, people will get too confused I think. But it's up to you! I do honestly wonder what in the heck you did to make the original Amazing Surf formula to make it so fast at rendering, and why can't all the formulas be just as fast?

Don't know but the surf has one less fold in it. Probably that helps

Any operation takes some CPU time but trust me try UltraFractal and compare the speeds

Hmmmm, well I have a quad core 4.0ghz processor (okay fast! ), but it may take around 45 minutes to render out the same resolution ABoxPlatinum for example as a 5 minute Amazing Surf. It's one of the main reasons I use this formula so much!

Have yet to try Ultra Fractal...Not into Microsoft philosophy of charging for software or software that claims it's the absolute best.
