I only just saw the pirates fan comic and found the idea of that version of Weavel to be an interesting one. I kind of like the idea of a Samus admirer taking up their own armour and trying to be like her.
This is a cool illustration, but some of your links lead nowhere!

Sorry, your non-canon sources of inspiration have nto convinced me.
For Sylux, it makes sense. In book at least, Sylux is a girl.
But as for Weavel, it doesn't make sense. Although at this point he's more or less genderless, Weavel is always referred to as male.
On the flipside, the drawing, on it's own merits, is fantastic. Keep it up!
Quick Question, how do you feel about drawing scenes?

May I inquire what sources do you use. I do not know of any Metroid book about prime so I am not convinced that Sylux is a girl. And also Weavel is not human to my knowledge.

Holy shit that comment was from eight years ago. I think ultimately I’ll be proven wrong about Sylux in due time. At the time Sylux had never been officially given gendered pronouns. So it could be anything. Pretty sure it’s make though.
Weavel is a space pirate.
