I do that effect in Photoshop once I have the comic assembled but before adding words. For night just rise the darkness and in color balance bring up the blue/magentas and cyan, and for sunrise darken it just a bit and in balance bring up red and yellow

For those who don't have photoshop, gimp works just as good for text and bubbles.

I use PhotoShop for all that, so seeing this is rather funny. It's also an interesting look at how it was done before Photoshop was so prevalant, so this is awesome!

Oh man!Lol i was hoping the text could do it too..because ive been making sprite comics for photobucket for awhile now..and..i could never figure out how to do the fancy text.Oh well thankies!

it's pretty easy to do text on Paint. Just adjust the color of the text to the character that's speaking. That's what i'm gonna do. I saw it on a shadamy sprite comic. I'm actually gonna work on one right now, since I have the steps now.
