Look out!” He cried, slightly panicked and with reflexes he did not knew he still possessed, jumped and pulled her back to the sidewalk, just as a human cart was about to squash the child. Vision: The view is of a wintry scene out on the edge of the pavement. Upon a first glance, one would assume that something bad happened, or almost happened, that makes them look the way they do. Both Basil and Olivia are all right, but are obviously interacting with one in another due to the incident they had just gone through. 5.0
Originality: Rescuing someone is nothing new, but here, this was done from a story that hasn't been done before, and for that I give it full marks. 5.0
Technique: I've always loved the effects of the title and chapter number as if they too were decorated for the scene. I feel like I'm out there on that street with the two, so she succeeded in putting her viewer right into the action. 5.0
Impact: Lots of anger is radiating off of Basil here while sorrow and confusion are coming from poor Olivia. I can't feel much warmth between the two because of their current emotions. However, there is also a feeling of protection coming from Basil. He has her in a strong grip, not wanting to see any harm come her way, and for that I adore their positions quite a bit. Even though he's not happy here, how he's holding her tells me she's in very good hands. 5.0

I read the whole fan fic and it is so lovely! I love the part where basil gave her the glass of milk and honey. It showed the fatherly side of basil, was a nice touch, and was soooo cute! adorbs

I had to critique this one, but I just noticed Olivia's eye is teardrop-shaped, almost like a Precious Moments little girl. Poor thing looks so sad in Basil's arms. You can't blame him for being angry, but at least she's safe with him.

But still, isn't it a bit ironic how the safest place for her to be right now is right in the hands of the "coldest" mouse in all of London? Fate has a very strange sense of humor in my stories, it seems.
