My little four winged automation of energy. This is literally a revisit of this picture of Toscin - [link]The thing I liked so much about the original was the way he blended into the background so well it was hard to spot where he ended in places. I was considering how I could put him on a black background, and still maintain that same feel and this was what I came up with. Ultimately, not the solution I'm using, but I liked the concept enough that I wanted to post it here.
There is no story explanation for this, it was just for the look of it. (no, he doesn't have an evil twin

I was going to ask if that wasn't Tocsin... and I found I didn't have to. The thing I like most about this is the fact that we can get a clear shot of Tocsin's form. Would this be what the fellow would look like in negative space?

Ah, do you mean like a light wave, or the point where your pencil actually touches the paper? *s* There are a lot of artists in your shoes who cannot bring about creatures like your Tocsin who are all motion, and bring that feeling to a still shot. Maybe I'm just not seeing all of them, but again, I've always liked your figure work.

**chews thoughtfully on starburst squirts** i really still can't decide on what version i liked better darl! both the white and black looked mighty fine and huggable. he looks so flimsy, like you can reach out and he's going to break apart if you touched him. maybe hugging him wouldn't be such a good idea. ;-;

This looks so fantastic. I love the use of highlight to make his body stand out from the background. I like the light version better thus far, but this one is still bloody awesome.
