Description A few years back, me, two friends and my brother sat down and drew some creatures and objects we got from SlimeBeast's Random Monster Generator. I enjoyed these weird creations so much, I decided to re-draw these, as well as every other thing on the list I printed, and give them all fun backstories. So, to start, we have Friend #1's drawings.

Prompt: Murderer Melter

"Did...did we just get saved by a child's drawing?"

The town of Maryville, Kansas had a serious problem; the problem being that it had an unlikely amount of supernatural serial killers stalking its otherwise tranquil streets. Throughout the town's history, countless lives were lost to this impossible plague and no one was able to put the threat to rest. It seemed every time a killer was killed, another would rise to take their place. One victim of these senseless murders was Jacob Fredericks, a young boy who lost both his parents in a mall shooting. It wasn't long before the child found ways to channel the immense pain he felt. Jacob quickly took to drawing unusual creatures, most of which he told his adoptive parents were made to remove the killers from Maryville forever. But they were just the drawings of a broken child...until one night, an event most unusual occurred. One of Jacob's drawings, the one dubbed "The Murderer Melter" came to life. This weird beast immediately took to the streets to satisfy her creator's desires. Using an acidic pollen that is sprayed from her hands, the Melter can reduce a human-sized threat to a puddle of gore within minutes. She soon became the hero Maryville deserved. Whether many of them truly accepted her or not, is another matter entirely.

Prompt: The Screamer That Wants To Study Toes

"Eh, they're weird, but mostly harmless. Mostly."

The Seadralisk, more commonly known as "Screamer", is an unusual species of amphibious reptile native to the oceans of Andoma. The "Screamer" gets its nickname from its rather obvious habit of shrieking and screaming as a form of vocalization. In fact, groups of them can be heard miles from the shoreline, as the excitable species begins to converse and play. This then leads into something the Screamers are known for, and are often considered unnerving because of; Screamers are capable of mimicking simple phrases they've heard. Thus, it isn't uncommon to hear groups of Screamers shouting various human words, in various languages, at one another amidst the usual shrieks they vocalize with. Even more interesting is that Screamers can seemingly learn the meaning behind the words they shout and thus use the words appropriately. A lesser known fact about Screamers, is that each individual has a particular object or being they obsess over. Take for example "The Toe Eater", an infamous Screamer that terrorized a small fishing village. It was said to swim up to swimmers, or even those just cooling their feet, and effortlessly snatch off one of their big toes. It was initially believed that this Screamer simply ate the appendages, but it was later discovered that the creature kept them piled up in nearby cave, where it would observe them for hours while shrieking one word...

Prompt: Carnivorous Bob The Sliding Tick

"It was...just so fast. We heard the screams and then...he was gone."

Even if the knowledge was widespread, would it truly do any good? It always happens without any forewarning, without any foreseeable pattern, and no amount of preparation has be seen to stop it. So many children have fallen prey to his voracious appetite. Hell, most are just believed to be kidnapped. It pains me to say, but they may be the lucky ones...Every slide is his dominion, his hunting grounds. A child goes down the slide; fun, as always. but then they hear it, the sound of many legs striking word, plastic or steel. Then the sound of a thick carapace slamming against the slide. They turn, just in time to see that massive tick, sliding full speed towards them. Most are paralyzed in fear. Some scream. None run. And then? It's over, just like that. The tick collides with them...and they both disappear. Never to be seen again. How do I know this? I saw it happen. Worst thing I've ever seen. The damn thing even spoke, in this horrible screechy voice. "I'm gonna eat you!" Never went near a slide again. But I noticed it. The kids disappearing that is. Always at a playground. Always near a slide.

Prompt: Toxic Knuckles

"Come on kid. Aren't you brave?"

Somewhere in Detroit, there is a broken down factory. In this factory lives what could be considered a man. Huge, horribly deformed, and bearing a special gift. From this man's misshapen knuckles leaks a toxic substance that is said to give the greatest high in the world. Teens and young adults who fashion themselves as brave or cool spread the rumor amongst their peers, and eventually seek out the man themselves. No one knows where the rumor started, or where this horror of a man came from, but most believe it to be true. Those clever enough to piece together all the clues may come to find themselves standing at the entrance of a great condemned ruin in a particularly shady part of town. Upon entering, they are greeted only by darkness, and an overwhelming stench. Those who continue on will eventually find the giant man, lit up by a hole in the ceiling and surrounded by many bodies whose heads have been covered by blue growths. The giant will explain that those not worthy will succumb to these growths and die painfully, but those who are worthy will experience the greatest high the world has ever seen. So...are you brave enough to try?
