So when you do your cleaning up, what does that entail? I find that if I had to break down my drawing process, that's the part I struggle with the most, refining the blocks of color and getting a smooth blend. Any tips?

We-ell, I don't really know how to explain it... Okay, so you merge all the layers, and... You take the eyedropper, pick a color, blend the colors or refine the edges where needed... It, I think, is the most time-consuming process of all, buuut... It's basically blending and refining, and sometimes makin out the details if they weren't present in the sketch-phase.

Btw, where did you learn all this? Did you take a digital arts class? I haven't taken a higher level digital arts class yet, and I feel like that's the reason I have so much I don't know in terms of technique and tools >.<

In all honesty though, no. At first I didn't really understand the process too, but... I've said this a lot before, and I'm going to repeat it once more. It all comes with time and practice. Both. Not only one of these. As you try more and more, you'll once succeed. Yes, I know, that sounds cheesy, but it's true.
