- Fancy Pants, Fleur, and Rarity were able to have all of their genes combined to have their one and only child (with the aide of Starlight Glimmer)
- Rarity cried for hours after giving birth, and in her sobbing, she was convinced that her baby had "the most beautiful halo of light surrounding his little head". Thus, Ethereal Beauty was named.

- Beau was doted over so much as a child
- Fleur and Rarity absolutely adored cuddling their baby. Fleur would play with and style his mane and Rarity would dress him up in little outfits. He grew up quite the mamas' boy.
- he's still close with Fancy Pants, but his father and he just have a quiet, yet deeply caring, relationship.
- if Beau got sick of his mamas playing dress up with him, he'd run to his father and ask him to read him stories. Fancy Pants always did, and then Rarity would come sing him to sleep afterwards
