It's Captain Amelia! (from Treasure Planet) I have always loved her.
This is for 's Captain Amelia contest!
I was really looking forward to doing the sky, and it was totally lots of fun, but I didn't quite get the colors I was after... I spent forever looking at all the different skies used in the movie. They're all beautiful.

I've always loved the Captain, too! She was always my favorite character in that movie. I like how your own style shows through, yet it's still very much so Captain Amelia (and she's the sort of character that wouldn't be herself without a certain style). And the sky is amazing. I wish the real sky looked like that.

Thanks! She was a lot of fun to draw. It's certainly easier to make people look like themselves if they started out as a cartoon. 
I absolutely love the skies in Treasure Planet. The colors and everything are just so pretty. Of course, it doesn't really make much sense that there would be day and night in space.... but hey, it's Disney, they can do anything they want.
