Description
This is a concept from 2007 but I never had gotten around to painting it.The 'borer' is exclusively used by the megacorporation URSYN as an area denial and anti insurgency weapon; thousands may be seeded in key areas whereupon they can lie dormant for months.
Borers are activated when a person or unlucky animal steps on it; the borer will rapidly tunnel up the flesh of the victim and attempt to detonate in the cranium. Even in the event that it doesn't reach the head; the borer can cause debilitating damage from the tunneling alone and is a potent psychological weapon.
Some will easily recognize parasitic worms as the borer's source of inspiration.

When i saw it the first thing that came to mind was the Cerebral Bore From Turok Seeds of evil except this one is more brutal then that one,because the Cerebral Bore will lock on and automatically target the victims head, and its usually one projectile per target.The Borer has the potential to be a wide-scale terror death machine, just imagine having like a thousand of these deployed on a battlefield and setting it on delayed activation period,there would be like a hundred soldiers just walking in the Killzone and this activates... Absolute Pure Carnage

also that thing looks frigging scary, though mabe next time drawing something small or really big, it helps to draw something we already know the scale of next to it, eg a 5o cent coin.

try blender; it's free (legally too!) and even though it's free it still has the power to measure up with stuff like 3ds max, maya, etc.
spawning an object, adding a few layers of multi-res, and going to the sculpt tools is really easy and very addicting.
