Description
So it isn’t much of a secret that I do sometimes pick at the idea of a third AU. And of course there’s a potential fourth because I can’t control myself.

But I thought I’d share the Uru’s of those two universes! Since I’d already made one before here

Now a detail on each-

Brothers in Arms AU - Uhuru
The name was recommended to me by and it means “freedom.”

Now, Uhuru isn’t the mother to Mufasa OR Scar. Huh? You may be asking, well she does become the mother-IN-LAW to Mufasa at least (still in process of figuring out if Zira is her daughter or not).

She and her husband Ahadi are the rulers of Ndona, and they come to know the two boys because they attempted to do a coup. Normally they’d be very much aggressive to an attempted coup, but… well…

It was frankly adorable to the two how brazen these two teens were. Neither looked old enough at all to be on their own, and here they were trying to take over their very own Pride. (Still debating whether to include Nala’s dad in this or not)

They couldn’t just turn them away. After all the boys showed potential for something great. If molded correctly. Of course there was backlash (especially from their oldest daughter, Sarabi), but the two weren’t willing to throw away their project of molding these young ruffians into proper kingdom lions.

Which in their opinion worked very well, especially when the one began to show many qualities looked for in a leader.

Also yes, Uhuru is blind! It doesn’t hold her back much, though she does tend to business at Pride rock mostly.

Grandfamily AU - Kurunzi
“To watch”

This the AU I’ve been wanting to play with for so long, and at the very least inspired by that one error in that article that I made a post about.

In this AU, Kurunzi and Ahadi are the parents to Mufasa alone. Aaaaand unfortunately when Mufasa is a young teen (14-15ish) he decided to strike out and be a tad rebellious.

Every parent dealt with it of course. The two were expecting this. But when he decided to hook up with some tramp to get a rise of them it was a step too far.

He was a Prince, there was standards to be met. And he was far too young to even attempt to do something as foolish as that.

The boy was separated from his… mistake and essentially put on lockdown until the two could knock some sense into him. And for a time it seemed to of worked. He was trying to make improvements, staying near, being good.

And then she came back. She was around the same age as Mufasa, and no one would’ve expected that their night of immature romping would lead to her expecting cubs.

An uproar broke out in the Royal circle, and the two were aghast that their son could make such a mistake. He was promised to someone for Spirits sake! And now this girl is making demands that they have to take the cub, and that she can’t take care of it?

Her own Pride had casted her out after the reveal. She had no where to go. She just wanted her baby to be safe somewhere. And she was willing to get help from anyone or tell anyone of her situation to get this.

So Kurunzi and Ahadi made a deal with her:
She would have the cub within a secluded den of the lands.
Only the two of them would be allowed to attend to her.
She wasn’t to speak to their son, or make an attempt to see him.
Once the cub was born, they’d take him as their own and she would leave their lives forever.

Of course Mufasa was against this plan, and so was she. But after extensive talks it was eventually agreed upon. It was better this way for everyone. And they would personally seek out her Pride to speak on her behalf and have her reinstated in the family.

So the plan went through, and in the end only one cub was born, a tiny little boy who resembled his mother greatly. Though Kurunzi could see some similarities between he and her as well.

They took him in as their own, and the girl they managed to get back to her family as tensely as that was handled. And soon he was recognized as the newborn son of Kurunzi and Ahadi.

Of course there was some hurdles and stumbles. They had to ensure that Mufasa knew his position in this. He wasn’t a father, he was the brother to this boy. Every time he was with the cub he was coached and advised on what to do.

And eventually it just became a part of life. Mufasa got older and married his betrothed, Sarabi. The boy got older and of course tested some boundaries with the family.

And maybe they were tense and less patient with him. But they made sure he was healthy and well taken care of. It was going to be perfect for everyone and the image of the family and Kingdom would’ve been secure.

And then that horrid girl had to come back and ruin everything they worked for. Leading to the family to fall apart all over again. But it was far too late for that runt to even try anything.

He had no legitimacy to the throne, nothing more than a bastard and Kurunzi would ensure that he wouldn’t get the throne.

Kurunzi was hard to design tbh, cause I needed her to moreso resemble Mufasa BUT keep features of Scar there. If there was no connection between them then I’d probably just yoink Mufasa’s mom from Blood Water AU.
Also if she grows a mane or not I haven’t decided. She could be a partial mane or full mane, I haven’t decided yet.
But I do imagine that she’s related to Malka’s family somehow.

Aaaand thats it! No more Uru’s! I refuse to go beyond FOUR AUs! And tbh I can’t really think of another unique way to play with the Mufasa and Scar brother relationship.

Unless idk I make them brother-in-laws but tbh it doesn’t really work enough to make an AU of.

And I’m not sure if I’d touch these two AUs too much since I am already trying to rethink a lot of things with just Blood Water. Two more added upon it? I’d have to have notebooks for each AU at that point.
