Description You cannot use the bible as an excuse for being a homophobe if you're not actually a Christian. If you're not, why do you care what the bible says? Just admit it, you find them disgusting and are a sorry excuse for a human being.

ALL sin, including homosexuality, can be forgiven and overcome in Christ. It's about surrendering our will, turning it over to Jesus. And as long as we are holding on to our will, nothing will change. But Jesus died on the cross for our sins and to give us a new life. He has a much better way. We only have to allow Him to work in our lives.

The Bible actually contains no word for homosexuality or homosexual

Some English – and Spanish, and Chinese, and Russian etc. – translations of the Bible include the word homosexual. That’s incorrect because the word homosexual is nowhere in the original Hebrew or the original Greek.

The word homosexual didn’t exist when the Bible was written.  (New Testament about 2000 years ago, and parts of the Old Testament from 1,400 to 400 BCE.)It wasn’t until 1869 that Dr. Karoly Benkert, a Hungarian physician created the term by combining the homo, the Greek word for same, with the Latin sexual.

The word homosexual did not come into use in the United States until the 1880’s.The concept homosexual didn’t exist when the Bible was written.

If you see the word homosexual or homosexuality in the Bible, it is because translators chose those words to reflect their own homophobic feelings and ideas.

Where in the Bible you might find the word homosexual used incorrectly:

The Hebrew word kedah means temple prostitute and is sometimes inaccurately translated at sodomite or homosexual.

In 1 Corinthians, sodomite or homosexual are sometimes used, but they are incorrect translations of the Greek malakos which means something closer to effeminate or the Greek practice of pederasty, which is older men having sex with boys and is not consensual gay sex between peers.

1 Corinthians also refers in Greek to arsenokaitai, which appears nowhere else in the Bible or in Greek writings about homoerotic sexuality, but probably means male prostitute

Jude 7 sometimes refers to homosexual flesh that the Sodomites pursued.  This is an inaccurate translation of hetera sarx which means, literally, strange flesh to describe the flesh of the angels who were sent by God to evaluate Sodom and GomorrahIn Timothy 1:9-10, translators sometimes use homosexual for the original Greek words, pornoi, arsenokoitai, and andrapodistai, meaning male prostitutes, males who hire male prostitutes or the slave dealers who procure them.

Including the word homosexual in the Bible is the choice of translators and is not a reflection of the Bible.

Christians have no excuse of being homophobic because the Bible’s original documents never had a greek or hebrew word that translated into homosexuality. Homosexuality was thrown in there because of men’s homophobic views. Hate to say it Christians you can’t use your faith as an excuse because your faith never condemns homosexuality in fact it never even mentions it! The only reason there are passages against it now is because they were mistranslated or added in. So if you have prejudice against homosexuals that stems from your own being. Not your bible!

This is why I'm an ex-Christian and now a Satanist. Satanists don't support slavery, reject tyranny, are pro choice and are pro lgbt. Before you start up with "OMG HOW CAN YOU BE A SATANIST" Please ask me what it is and I'll calmly tell you. Satanism is not this horrid thing most of society is leading you to believe.

Nowadays everything is offensive, in the future if you post "I'm going to lunch," I think most likely someone comes saying, "What lack of respect for the hungry." - A joke and yet a criticism. Smart and current, is not it?
Just a tip, Homophobia is practicing physical or psychological violence against a gay individual. I do not see the relationship of this with Christians.
They preach in the churches and in events performed by them, anyone who wants to go, go. They will not drag you inside. What? Do you want to ban the people to preach the Bible because you do not agree with what is written?
"My rights end where yours begins" - Brazilian Constitution of 1988. Outdated? I think not.
It means that I only have the right to act as far as I do not "harm" anyone. Being for or against something does not offend the right of anyone, it's a matter of opinion, you just can not require people to think like you.

If you know someone who does bulliying to you or a friend of his because of his sexual opnion, this person is not a Christian.

God says he hates sin, hates those who love the sin, but love the man.

Dude, I respect gays, but if they ask me, I will say: "I do not accept the practice." I have relatives that are gay and I love them, because they are cool people, not because they are gay. (A jerk is a jerk, regardless of sexual orientation.)
What? I not being intolerant is strange to you? Only idiots practice Bullying of any kind.
Please. Change your Banner for "disrespectful Individuals who like to make others suffer and / or think violence is normal" are homophobic. In fact, the page is yours. Do what you want. Have a nice day.

Thanks.
Please do not get the impression that I wanted to fight. It was only a review and advice mixed in a blender. Certain opinions must be handled with care or can pass a bad image.
You can lose friendships with these sensitive topics. On the computer, you can not hear the tone of my voice, but I was calm. The text was not in the way I wanted, actually. Mainly because comments look like telegrams or letters.
Your drawings are good, have not seen all, but I liked what I saw.
Only this one I found a little ... I do not know ... exaggerated. You know, I think you may end up offending several people.
I do not know how is now in Australia, but here's night.
Good night then, "Tae-Rai".

The reason I do not support it is because of my religion. However, I respect everyone regardless of their religion, or sexuality, as long as they respect me. So, it doesn't exactly affect me, but mom taught me to follow God, so.

wasn't he at one point Jewish, meaning before he was christian his bible was the old testament, which would mean that he might think the stuff like "Sodom and Gomorrah" and "Leviticus" to be truthful even though they weren't. And they might just have been his words not necessarily God's... Also, if my research is right, isn't he the only one in the new testament to even mention homosexuality.
