Description
Cords are a very common part of Japanese embroidery designs, and despite how difficult they may look, they are very easy to do!A cord is simply a modified X stitch, or cross stitch. It creates X's on the front, and straight lines on the back side. They are fast to do as well, once you get used to doing them. I'll make a short video on it as well as soon as I am able.
These make nice decorative touches to add to your designs, or to add dimension to your printed fabric. Using a nice rayon thread (which I did not do in the picture, sorry!) results in a beautiful sheen that looks like an actual braided cord.

Eeee, that's actually really neat looking I may have to give it a try if I pull some long swirly designs for embroidering again
Thanks for sharing!

It is really pretty - this isn't the best example, because I was doing it while suffering an allergy attack, but it's pretty neat! I'm thinking of doing some on corsets, since I can't make costumes at the moment.
