We see seven SOUL types in the game, that doesn't mean there's no other types. For all we know, there can be hundreds, Chara and Frisk just happened to have the same trait

Yeaaaah and some of the traits kind of annoy me, that the game uses. I mean, Perseverance is just Patience combined with Determination... Though that makes sense, as red plus blue equal purple. It should be something not covered by other traits, though. Like empathy.

Actually, the RED Soul's trait is undetermined. DETERMNATION is a general trait all humans and even some monsters have. I wouldn't even be surprised the RED trait is empathy considering how empathic Frisk naturally is.

That's KIND of rediculous.

Determination is the will to keep pushing forward, to achieve one's will. Perserverence is the will to not give up, to endure a struggle, though not always one that is chosen or one's own will. The two are so similar that writing programs treat them as interchangeable.

Empathy is the ability to feel emotion on behalf of another person, to feel sad for another's tragedy, happiness for another's triumph. If anything, it has more in common with kindness than anything else, but isn't represented in Undertale by a soul trait at all.
