Description
A back view of my TIE Interceptor MOC, just to show some of the construction and how it looks from behind. Not a whole lot to say here, apart from two points. One is the red fuel hose connecting the back of the cockpit to the pad. I understand that that's probably not a fuel port on the actual ship, and the fuel tank is on the bottom, but there's two reasons for this. One is that that's where I could connect a hose, and two is that having it there helps hold down the back of the model, so it doesn't tip forward.
The other point is that on the angled panels of the wings, parts of the frame on the edges are actually only held on at one end, with a hinge. This was necessary, because I couldn't work out a way to connect them at the other end, but fortunately both the front and back ones seem to be strong enough to hold themselves in place while on display, and during limited swooshing.
