Oh, I was wondering weren't there suppose to be two teachers usually when taking kids around. Well this explains it, more than likely. X'D
But I'm little curious how any of the kids didn't tell anything that there is situation going down the stairs. How didn't you hear this!? Well let's just say they were traumatized and skeletons being focused on this random show with kids and this random guy. :3

You're not entirely wrong about this, they are indeed a bit traumatized due to what they saw.
And another thing is that Toriel can be very strict at times, even though that she's actually a really nice and caring person.
She has fire after all.
