Description
Species Name: Albino Burmese PythonPython molurus bivittatus
Average Adult Size: 20-25 feet.
Diet: Large birds and mammals.
Habitat: SouthEast Asian rain forests.
Shot: Taken at the San Diego Zoo.
Comments: Of the large pythons in the pet trade, these are probably the best tempered. However, that's not saying much. There have been a few deaths and near misses of owners being constricted.
This is albino, often nicknamed 'banana snakes' by kids. They frequently carry an 'eyepopping' gene that makes their eyes look distended.
