Versión en español [link]My cooking tutorials:
Sorry for the large file!
Last week I decided I wanted to make a tutorial. Last Saturday, 7 am, I was half-sleep cooking french toast and thought it would make a great tutorial. Later that day I discovered it doesn't.
French toast may be too easy to deserve a tutorial, but well I already had the pictures... and I couldn't find another one in DA, so mine is already the better french toast tutorial, ha! (I hope that didn't sound as lame as it did in my head).
Bleh, well at least I got over the first tutorial issue. It was good practice and my next tutorials will be better, I promise
Awesome tips from awesome people:
It is a great way to use leftover bread (it can be a day or two old), and it's soft and moist

What if I don't have cinnamon? One of my maids/housekeeper threw it out because I left it open.

Some people don't like cinnamon and they just use maple syrup

OK, thanks, I already bought cinnamon though. I'm gonna buy maple syrup when I get the chance (experiment of course).

I have no problem answering I think that my favorite is crème brûlée, and crepes XD I've been interested in trying macarons, but they're a bit difficult to find here so I may have to make my own

My mum calls this 'gypsy toast' when we have it at home. I always thought French Toast was the teeny tiny slices of toasted bread you see around Christmas. Just shows you shouldn't trust cracker boxes about anything.

Ooh, sweet recipe! We call this 'Pain perdu', lost bread xD
Also I've never tried with this kind of bread, always using old remains of baguette.
I'll try following this next time! With cinnamon!

lol I suppose it would be weird to call it French Toast in France thanks for letting me know!
Oh I've never tried it with baguette, they're kinda fancy here, so we always eat them before they get hard. But it sounds like it could taste good

xD The last time I made French toast, I failed miserably. xD How? ...I forgot to add sugar and I put in salt instead xP

HAHAHAHAHA! oops, I know of some people that prefer their french toast with a bit of salt, but if you poured salt as if it was sugar... I can only imagine the horrible outcome
Thank you for sharing that funny story, I hope you didn't get traumatized I know I would.

oMG!!! This was the first time I ever ever ever made french toast and I was worried that it would come out soggy in the middle since I had fresh thin regular bread. And it happened with my Mother's once, and since she never fails at cooking it was scary. But I'm sooo glad I braved the forfront and tried it out!!! It was soooo delicious! I added sugar, cinnamon, and brown sugar to my egg mix and I will cut back on it next time, but I have never had a more scrumptious homemade fresh toast! I can NOT wait to do this for my boyfriend this weekend for brekky! Thank you thank you thaaaank you!

me too! i'll have to get up early enough to get more bread, because I've made it at least twice already this week. I'm trying to think of other additives too! I've actually found a fancy smancy one that makes my mouth water thinking about it. :[link] it seems so delicious it's stupid
