Sabrina-Thirteen's story is one of tragedy, loss and vengeance.

At the age of 14, she and her fellow OSCR comrades were ambushed by a terrorist attack while out on neighbourhood patrol. She was the only survivor and was captured by the perpetrators, who sold her to a human trafficking ring where she was tortured for several months. When INSECOM operatives arrived on scene, they found her with all her limbs missing and psychologically broken. She refused any attempts to return her to her family, believing it was better to be dead instead.

Then INSECOM made an irresistible offer - join the Mazazel Shadows and exact revenge on these kind of scum. She was adamant about being dead to her family, so she was as good as an orphan and INSECOM can certainly arrange for her to be officially listed as dead.

After sealing the deal with the devil, Sabrina's body was repaired, enhanced with genemods and nanomachines and was given cybernetic limbs. She was grouped with her new comrades - orphans of civil conflicts and wars, under Unit 177. Her family name was expunged, and the only last name she would go by was 'Thirteen', as the 13th inductee of the Unit.

She carried out black operations as a MS operative for 4 years and INSECOM directed her wrath against corrupt government officials who had a stake in human trafficking operations, occasionally rewarding her with missions to wipe out the human trafficking rings directly instead of tipping off the police as per standard procedure. After 4 years however, Sabrina felt that she had done enough to satiate her vengeance and decided to go for a career change.

In becoming a monk-commissar, Sabrina paved the way for many firsts: the youngest commissar at the age of 18, the first commissar organic to INSECOM Units and its black operations, and the first commissar to possess psionic implants, cybernetic augments and neural nano-machines - an unprecedented combination that make her not only an exceptional fighter but also an exceptional psionic compared to other monk-commissars.
