Description
This is a birthday gift for , one of my most favourite artists in the world! After ReptileCynrik's "A Grave Message" ([link] ), Reptile moves out with his search party to find his missing friend, Kyle Primor, who had been his "brother" for many years. Until the night when twin moons arose into brightness from distant horizons, his sadness ensues as the shrouded aftermath battlefield is difficult to rescue him.
He takes few hours of search. Miraculously, he found his lost friend unconscious on the ground "Lost and Found" ([link] )
This story is touching, so I am interested to depict the searching scene. This is not only the birthday present for Patrick, but also the image of Reptile's story. He inspires me to become fantasy artist like him. So I wish you a great time in your "new year and age" and in the future.
I hope you like it, friend.
And...Happy 32nd Birthday, Patrick!

I see you did a good work with the light here, and the head design looks pretty good too. Keep exploring more new things to make new stuff ^ ^

Thank you very much, Aldo
I feel so happy about drawing characters from the design consequently, the shading and lighting, and the expressions. .

Hehehe... I just figured the image proportions would make some fine DESKTOP wallpaper, if people like it.
And I agree to my brother about the anatomy and lighting. It served you well to use a scene at NIGHT and just a few FIXED light sources. It makes shading much easier.
NIce!

Ahhh, yes...fit for the wallpaper ^^
Yeah, he is right about them, for the shading and lighting should be seen on Reptile's body and the ground.

A nice prequel to my "Lost and Found" artwork, indeed. ^_^
Thank you very much for drawing my character and for this birthday artwork.
Well, you did NOT change his eyes and some other small details... (where's his wedding rind around his right arm? ^^" )... but nevermind.
I'm gratful for this gift, thanks!
Will be uploaded to my website soon.
But I'll only upload the medium sized version! The large version is and shall be only for MYSELF, won't you agree??

I've added the wedding ring. I should make use to edit pictures with missing important details.

Thank you very much, Patrick .
Awww, I did forget the wedding ring! XP. I should add that because it's the prequel to your "Lost and Found"
Well, I agree that you should keep the exclusive large size. Many people could steal the original version of the artworks.

Ok... the background is more or less copy-paste from the original artwork and it was quite boring to begin with.
You still have great trouble with hands, especially when they are holding something. You have to practice on that.
Other than that, this might be the best depiction of an anthro-character you have done up until now! Lighting is alright, his pose slightly exaggerated, his physique is great (you know, Reptile actually has a hip in this pic and is not overly buff-musculuar) AND FOR ONCE I LIKE THE FACIAL EXPRESSION (my most important point). Although the mouth-line is a bit too far, but all the other facial lines and muscles and lids and details that add to a proper expression make up for it.
This expression is pure sorrow and worry and it evokes these feelings in me (the loneliness of the character [due to no other characters being shown] add to this greatly).
This is a truly great picture and it wholeheartly deserves a favorite, and i favorite ONLY pics i outmost like. I hope you draw inspiration from this pic and try to continue with this intenseness in pics.

I know still have troubles with hands even if I use my hand as reference. I will be careful to draw hands holding an object.
Yeah, the lighting from the torch and strong shading, his pose, the Reptile character, and facial expression are good--I didn't expect for this kind of criticism, but I greatly appreciate about it
I'll try to move on with my efforts and inspiration, and thank you for the favorite.

This pick is a nice idea for a gift as it does fit his story well in the searchers scene, it is also chalk full of emotion as well as his face does say it all. I also like it or not could a bit of a spin on symbolism like it or not from your perspective or Reptiles'. One is the torch that is like those set on a cake, it servers as a light an for the B-day wish of Kyle's return. Another is the Moons, this my be apart of Patrick's universe nut it also plays into the two lives, he is as himself, and his character as they are both fully there, also short for 3(2), it only works every ten years. This is a nice gift art, well done indeed.
