Maybe a stupid question. But is it possible that you can only make fractals like this using a mac os? I'm trying my ass off here using ps cs3 on a windows os. Or am I just wasting my time? If not, are there any interesting tutorials for ps or illustrator cs3 concerning fractals...?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

mondspeer In reply to xjuggernautx [2009-03-11 14:51:47 +0000 UTC]

Hey yjuggernautx,

the tutorial is based on a fee fractal generating program called apophysis (use google to find the download link).

It runs on windows pc.

Only the postwork is in PS. (No matter if you use windows or mac os).

If you look in the html you can see a screen shot that tells you that the program is Apophysis.

let me know if that's ok...if not I'll remove it.

Hi,
sorry, i'm new to fractals. How do I use this and what does it do?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Taser-Rander In reply to ladydetemps [2007-09-07 18:36:57 +0000 UTC]

Honestly, I didn't make this guide with new fractalists in mind, because its a bit more advanced than some other tutorials. You should try taking some beginners tutorials at *Apophysis before trying this one.

ladydetemps In reply to Taser-Rander [2008-03-17 15:57:27 +0000 UTC]

ok I feel really green but what is a spherical fx form?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Taser-Rander In reply to frdmlong [2007-08-11 18:32:56 +0000 UTC]

In the transform editor, on the far right top bar, there is a button that says +fx. You hit that, remove the linear from that transform, and give it 1 spherical

Taser-Rander In reply to T0MM1v [2007-08-04 16:04:43 +0000 UTC]

You have to copy the code, and only the code. You may be getting more of it. Also, I'm using Apo 2.05 B2Z+C++ R3, so you may be using an older version
