OC changeling from FiM. He was going to be closely based on myself, but I deviated away from that early on in his design. I am a dull person, and Tatter is not.

I am of the mindset that cocooned ponies soon become changelings, so I went with that for this guy. his story is quite detailed, and I went to a lot of length to understand who this guy is before I bothered to draw him. Below is a very brief version of his history.

Tatter Terror (Not his actual name, but it is one given to him by changelings.) used to be a unicorn pony living on the far outskirts of a remote part of Equestria, the kind of place where if something bad happened, no-one would know nor care. Such an event happened to the settlement he lived in, as one day, it was attacked, and subjugated, by changelings. Half of the population was cocooned, Tatter among them.

Tatter hatched prematurely, before all of his memories were erased, and before all remnants of his past life rotted away. As a result, he has ruined remains of his coat and cutie mark, which is unidentifiable clinging to his carapace. He also has a very vague memory of his life before being hived. He remembers too little to do much with it, other than learn tidbits about magic, and pursue a name that burns in his mind: Bright Plume.

Bright Plume (who I might design later on) was a pegasus that Tatter used to be in love with, but never had the courage to do anything about it. He hoped against hope that his feeling was reciprocated, but learned the hard way that that was false, as Bright Plume left him to save herself.

With the knowledge of her name, face and what she did to him, Tatter wants nothing more than to see Bright Plume suffer. Despite remembering some of his past life, he is a full out changeling. If anything, his memories make him more dangerous.
