Long time no see an artwork this complex from me, eh?

Let's just say I haven't exactly felt creative or inspired lately. But I'm proud to finally be able to show you something I'm pretty satistfied with! This is going to be a new OC of mine and you can consider this artwork their official reference. Hope you like it! It's an idea I've wanted to develop for a while. And hopefully I'll soon be able to write something about him, too. A sort of backstory, or some character development. I don't know, I have to decide

(Also, smol spoiler alert: despite what I wrote in his reference sheet here below, he does have an official name, and I'm too happy with it to keep it private. Kazen Coffey, there you go. >w< ...just, pretend you didn't read that, for now. And yes, he's inspired off a character from a book. The first one guessing which gets a cookie )

I despise negativity with all my being: I hate it, what it does to ponies, all its different disguises and all it represents. Pain, regret, remorse, envy, rudeness, cruelty, tyranny, evil… beware!

Nickname(s): The Paineater

Gender: Probably male (?)

Height: Average

Body type: He. Is. A. Beast. He has muscles everywhere, yet he’s as fast as lightning.

Hair: It appears to have been black at some point in his life. However, the tips and progressively all hairs with the exception of the roots seem to have discoloured and are now greyish or even white. His coat is light grey. Black hooves.

Eyes: Dark blue corneas; ice blue, opaque pupils.

Accessories: No one knows for sure. He is said to have blades coming out of the back of his hooves, but no evidence of this has been found. Could be just a myth.

Residence: Unknown. Is said to be roaming. Virtually, you could find him anywhere and at any moment. But he's been sighted so seldom, that most ponies question if he's even real.

Relatives: No known relative.

Personality: Little is known about this pony. He seems to appear whenever a great injustice is taking place or when ponies are being mean or cruel to each other or still, when someone is experiencing great sorrow. Two witnesses claim to have seen him pin a young pony to the ground and… “inhale” or “ingest” a large quantity of black smoke he seemed to summon up out of the pony’s body. Once he was done with that, he pushed the pony aside and stood there trembling for a while, before letting out a faint growl and disappearing as quickly as he had come. The young colt who claimed to have been the victim of this attack was unscathed and stated that he felt “somehow, strangely, but definitely happier” as the smoke was being taken out of his body.

Dislikes: apparently, evil. In all its shapes.
Cutie Mark: witnesses observed a black object nestled in this creature’s thigh. It allegedly became bright as the creature sucked the black smoke out of other ponies, with the veins around it pulsating. Its function, origin or meaning are unknown.
