Some assets for Turnip Trouble! that I finally touched up after, oh... three months or so? >_> They are definitely not the most fantastic pixel art trees in the world, nor are they the best dA has ever seen by far, but... [link] Β they're nicer than the old ones, as I finally got a clue this morning completely out of the blue after about three years and made some convincing tree trunks.Now if only the leaves weren't a completely overcluttered mess, we'd be cool, but I'ma leave those.

Heh, yeah, trees can be a real pain to pixel.Β Took me years before I was finally able to make trees that didn't look like strange furry lollipops sprouting out of the grass

I think they're a serious point of trouble for a lot of pixel artists, or even traditional/digital artists. Something about the texture to tree trunks is difficult and troublesome and it's been a lot of years since my first poor attempts. I'm kinda glad to have made progress, even if I've got a long way to go

Indeedy.Β I find that anything organic, without straight lines and all, can be tough to get just right.Β Still, like anything, practice, practice, and more practice works well
