Description
Tutorial 02 ~ Posing Perspective and Dynamics!Usually, when you ask for perspective, an artist will only tell you how to do it for backgrounds, what with all the horizon lines and stuff. But, even if your backgrounds are fabulous, they'll be ruined if your subjects don't fit in.
So what I've done here is the basic form for posing explained, with a few examples and then an explanation of how dynamic posing is done. This is also all written based on the assumption you have an average grasp of anatomy. To be honest, I don't think I'll cover anatomy in these tutorials, as there are fiftybazillion tutorials out there already for them, and they usually go into far more depth than I would.
Also! For those of you wishing to practise dynamic posing, I actually have a suitable meme for you! The Action Pose Meme starts off nice and easy, and gradually works its way into harder and harder poses. Give it a go!

Your tutorials are amazingly useful! Thank you!
Also, I was wondering how you did your lineart? My lines never look as crisp as yours.

Several years of tablet use have steadied my hand, and the other trick is todraw big and then shrink the pic before you post it -- The process hides wavering/uneven lines and makes detail more impressive. Details are also a lot easier to draw large as well ~

I was so hoping for this. But I'm guessing it's just an egoistic move uploading this, so you won't have to answer the noobs.

Running poses have always dumbfounded me. The pose I can draw has the character dashing with his arms swinging or "floating" in the air, the body is very close to the ground, and back leg never looks right.
Thank you for showing this, it was helpful!!!

Nice tutorial! I personally tend to have more trouble with relative proportion (especially on hands and fingers) rather than perspective

I've always had trouble drawing poses mainly because I haven't had much practice at drawing the human anatomy. This tutorial will definitely help though. I need all the help I can get.
I admire your ability to draw in this style and now you've given me another reason to admire you more. This tutorial series is awesome!!!
By the way Taz and Gervaise look really cool and on a mission in that running pose.
