Description

I drew these 3 last year and then never actually drew the other 2 important characters… Oops. I do intend to come up with another word for the "dragons", it's just a hold over from draft 1 at this point. From left to right:

Larkin

A bard who recently got out of a disastrous relationship with the sun god, Kishar. It ended dramatically, Larkin ran Kishar through with his own sword. Which he deserved, to be fair. However now Larkin has divine blood on his hands and a curse nipping at his heels, and a limited amount of time to fulfill the requirements to stop it from coming true.

He can be a bit prickly (for understandable reasons), and often has difficulty dealing with other people. But as he, Giscard, and Arwyn travel together he does begin to open up a bit more.

Arwyn

A mysterious and awkward sorcerer who invited himself along on the journey, claiming that he could guide Larkin safely across the land of dragons.

Supposedly he’s under a geas which does not allow him to lie, but he’s still quite good at hiding information. The information that they know about him is slim. Arwyn probably isn’t his real name, he has some connection with dragons, and although he dresses like a moon god priest, it seems that he might not actually be one.

Although he has a very mild personality, he nonetheless seems to irritate everyone around him, especially Giscard.

The Night Queen*

An extremely ancient and powerful sorcerer, first among the dragons. Her true name has been lost to time but she’s been known by many titles over the centuries, the most well-known of which are the God Killer and the Night Queen.

She is unable to lie although as she says, “the words I speak are the truth and if they are not currently the truth, I will make them so”. Therefore this geas does not seem to have much of an effect on her.

*Technically dragons are genderless and sexless but their voices sound feminine to humans so outside of their own language they are referred to with female titles and pronouns.
